  • I LOVE this story!

  • my b day is july 19 only in 2002

  • they had to wait for three calls before they believed it? Idiot dispatchers

  • smart dog, i also saw a video of a cat calling 911

  • amizing dog

  • I saw this one. An accidental call that turned out to be real.

  • and I thought my lhasa apso was smart because he rings bells to go outside. Apparently he has competition!

  • Fucking old computers

  • No doubt this story made it into Ripley's "Believe It Or Not!". ; )

  • I remember this episode. It's pretty much the only one I do remember from this show.

  • lucky they had a speed dial for 911 or they would come home to a dead dog

  • LOL well dogs have a right to be abil to call for help

  • I used to live in Ridgecrest. But this story was long before I was born.

  • Wow, that is one smart dog.

Every dog should be trained to call 911, lol.

  • That is so CUTE!!!

  • do you have the next segment uploaded?

  • I used to live in Ridgecrest, California, but this story was just over a year before I was born.

  • god thing i'm not working in us... in situations like these, officers are allowed to kick the door in. do not have to wait on a commanding officer...

  • awe that was awsome .. shes like its not my time to go .. before they had left .. they should've put the phone up to a levle where they dog coulnt get wraped up in the cord. but the dog was okay and this was a cute video .. they got themself a smart dog!!

  • Smart Dog!

  • i can hear the dog!! thats funny when they wur laughing bout it

God was watching over this dog im grateful to Him and the police and Amy for checking on the dog and saving her

  • Boy, I've seen first hand how smart dogs are. One keeps knocking on my front door with it's tail to say hello.

  • why did the owners left their dog home alone? they can just leave their dog to their friend's house.. God really made a way to save him.. It's amazing that he push the button accidentally for 911. If we think we're not responsible enough to take care of our animals, then it's better we should not have them as a pet..

  • THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!

imagine they person coming home with a note saying:

    Dear Sir,

YOur dog dialed 911 in stress from the phone cord wrapped around his neck.

    Thankyou,

    The Police

    Hahaa

I like the giggles they are making when they find the dog and start writing the note

  • These policmen suck. A person could have had a heart attack and died in the time they took to finally break down the door.

  • that dog call 911 ?! poor dog~~~

  • Well dogs have been known to do that. I mean we can't say the words "can food" in our house. we have to spell them because our cat knows exactly what we are talking about. Now the damn cat knows how to spell too. They can understand a lot of English. If they can learn words like that maybe they get it when you explain the 911 thing to your 4 year old. Animals are pretty intelligent.

  • One wonders how a dog knew to do this.

  • MIRACAL!

  • that is just crazy, i should teach my dog to do this just in case it happens to them

  • Lol. Dialling K-9-1-1. xD

  • hey (allgood) do you have the video like where it was showing the firetruck almost hitting a tree because i really want to see that one

  • @woww1994 BeatleMoe uploaded that one. It's called "Firefighter Heart Attack".

  • Either they should of taken the dog, or if not taken the dog with them they should of had a neighbor/family come to check on him once a day to at least take him out for a walk.

  • what a smart little puppy!!!

  • whoa i didnt see that comin! well proves to some people that dogs are smarter than they seem!!!

  • that was a good accidental step haha

  • what's funny about someone being strangled?

  • i dunno what it's like in America now with finding locations of people who call 911, but I'm pretty sure that in the U.K. they can trace the call. Even get a basic fix on the general area of a mobile phone location I think

  • oh my lord i would be sooooooo scared if i were those police officers!!

  • thats one cute dog

  • A great dog.

  • how can a dog survive by itself for 7 days?

  • Poor dog! I'm glad he was saved.

  • tht dog is RAD!

  • smart dog lol

  • i remember this thats so awesome! smart dog

  • good dog, saved his own life

  • lol i wish i had a dog that dial 9-1-1!

  • @jimmyluc same lol

  • that dog is sooooooooo cute! ♥

  • when the police has break open a door who pays for damages them or the home owners

  • Depends on the reason the door was broken down.

  • @vigoesandleos someone phoned them. they got no answer. they had to break in. so i don't see why they should have to pay

  • @vigoesandleos They said the homeowners paid for the damages

  • @vigoesandleos insurance

  • @vigoesandleos i think it depends on the circumstances and how rich the city is.

  • What were names of police officers responding to call?

  • Dispatcher Amy Widenkoff

    Officer Randy Bias

    Officer Rick DiMarco

    Sgt. Al Mitchell

Art Escobar is the homeowner and the owner of Buffy the dog

  • randy byass,rick demarco,sgt al mitchell

  • dang! smart dog!! dogs are the best!

  • Who leaves a 15 year old, half blind, half deaf dog alone for 2 weeks in a dark house with the shutters shut up? Even if someone came in once a day to walk and feed him the dog would have felt abandoned. Wonderful way to pay back a dog for his 15 years of loyalty to you... idiots!

  • Exactly!!! You would think that maybe instead of leaving the poor dog alone at home with someone checking on it, your right it still would feel alone so i hope they were actually smart enough to bring the dog w/ them when they would go away next time

  • This was actually the norm up until recent years.

  • We used to leave our dogs home alone every so often when we'd be gone for a few days, and have our neighbors come in and take them out to potty, feed them, etc. Never had a problem. Who would have thunk? But after seeing this..never again.

  • lol, omg, that is so funny, a dog dailing 911. funny very funny.

  • wait, so did the dog dial 911, or did the phone dial automatic?

  • how do u train ur dog to dial 911 is the question...is it a learned instinct? I think not...

  • I think the dog accidentally stepped on the 911 speed dial button.

  • that's right; automatic dial was mentioned

  • i don't think that you can step on a 911 speed dial button twice as a mistake...

  • @Megasanner there are ways to actually train your dogto call 911, keep it on speed dial for this.

    1. its like normal training, but dont let the dog actually call 911 on the real phone, use a toy phone thats almost real, or a disconnected phone.

    2. stage an incident, while someone else coaxes the dog to press the button, give it treats.

    3. repeat process, but less coxing after a bit, continue this method

    4. if this doesn't work, go online for other methods.

  • the fact that they were laughing at the dog was horrible .they said that they found the dog funny but what made it even funnier was the fact that he had dialed 911 so that means that they were laughing at the strangling dog. that's mean

  • Thats not mean, it is funny! Everything was okay, the dog didnt die, and everything turned out okay!

  • Emergency services: Bark bark

    dogs are amazing.

  • haha that's amazing and funny!!! lol that wuz such an adorable dog!!!! i luuvd the part wher the officers wer riting the note-hah!!

  • smart dog

  • lol wata smart dog and so cute too!! :)

  • See, I think that the city should of payed for the door repair instead of the family since the cops are the reason why it was broken. Even though they ended up saving the dog. Still.

  • KatieJean1985: Doesn't saving the dog's life is more important to the owner than money? If the owner feels that money is more important, then the cops should have just let the dog die.

  • what was wrong? Was something wrong with the dog or a human?

  • Smart dog!

I have 3 but none as smart as her!

  • lol at the dog

  • hahhah

  • that's hilarious. i wonder what the dog would say if it could talk

  • hahaha!

  • That's the type of lame shit that happens in Ridgecrest!!

  • LOL. This Episode Is So Funny. And I Thought People Know How To Dial 911. Now It's Anmials.

  • how long did they leave that poor dog alone!? it's called a Kennel!!!

  • They had a neighbor coming by and checking on the dog every day.

  • yay good dog this show scars me a lot dogs are great trained i love them so much

  • Aw, adorable! Looks like a cross between a Westie and a Wheaten, though I doubt that's what it is.

  • It's a lhasa apso.

  • @TheRealmsOfGold

they said what kinda dog it was she's a losapso

  • that is just so cute and funny, this just proves that dogs really are smart.

also, allgood, do you have the vid of the run away firetruck thats previewed at the end of this clip?

  • BeatleMoe has uploaded that one. It's called "Firefighter Heart Attack" (the one from Episode 212, not 504).

  • omg stupid cops took em forever to go in and actually check it out maybe u should call president to ask if u can go in ??????

  • That's pretty funny....

  • how long did they leave it alone??

  • Holy S*** tht was... wow cute dog and ur rite about the torture thing

  • This was amazing!

  • Ha ha i was laughing

  • Cool!

  • Dogs are smart animals!

  • yeah but not when they hang themselves with the telephone cord :D

  • smartest of em all!

  • lol...leave a note

  • hahahaahaha leave a postit note Dear sir....

  • Yeah it would have been sad for them to come home and find their pet dead like that.

  • what a beautiful dog im crying i love this dog he/she is beautiful

  • LOVELY!

  • omg my dogs name is buffy to and its a housedog that small

  • HELL YEA THE COP AT 8:30 IS FINE LOL..

  • smart dog

  • Comment removed

  • i NEVER leave my dog alone in our house when we go on vacation!

we always leave her with our dad or any other family member

i'd be soo crushed if my dog died if we left her alone!

  • Yeah animals can't be left alone for long periods either. They are like little children. Aaaww the doggie was so cute! :)

  • It was good thing that the police left the owner a note. So they wouldn't get the wrong idea that thinking thier house was violated or broken in. Poor dog couldn't see. But at least the police spotted the dog with phone cord around her neck. Or she would've choked to death.

  • for nine days

  • I saw these shows 20 years ago and it suprises me how many I remember and how for the rest of my life I learned these lessons.

  • Yes, this show does teach u many lessons!

  • I remember seeing this as a kid. I was so sceared!

  • Amazing dog!!!! Whenever I go on vacation though, I ALWAYS leave my Border Collie with family, never alone in a house. Poor doggie. But I'm so glad he's alive and he made a 911 call, an amazing miracle that was :O!

  • poor dog:[

    thank god he is okay.[:

  • the doggy is soooo cute!!! im glad it didnt die

  • who the old family channel logo....thanks for posting this!

  • sorry i did a type-o. i meant to say *whoa*

  • WOW thats thats pritty cool. Thank you for all these videos. I have the day off and I said well Ill watch one or two. Ive been here for like seven now. LOL

  • what cruel owners, leaving the dog alone at home for days. so what if they left food and water for him, the poor thing will feel lonely and abandoned, and as you can see accidents can happen to him too. iresponsible people!

  • i hate it too

we always leave our dog with our dad

    and he don't do anything!

so being alone and with him is pretty much the same thing

    LOL!!!

  • no they said someone came over and would feed and give him water and stuff and take him out, and prob spend time with him, although I agree this is still wrong as dogs get very lonely and sad. Cats are ok with this kind of thing but not dogs.. It should not be allowed.

  • you rock

  • I'm glad the dog knew the number.

  • He didn't, he pushed the emergency dialer with out knowing.

  • Um....thanks.

I was actually just kidding. I think that dog would have been quite famous now if he actually knew the number :o

  • Strange

  • does anyone knows the name of the episode where a man cut a trees in the wood and ending up in an accident? I'm trying to look for that episode but haven't find any

  • You're probably thinking of "Logger's Lament" from Episode 124. It's not on here.

  • Could you please upload it for us! and could you upload the one that the kids play with the candle on a tree and got burned (he was ligting up the paper and accidently got his shirt burned) thank you in advance if you could upload them for us to enjoy.

  • bless, cute dog, wat breed is it?

  • "What a bunch of retards, you don't leave your dog home alone unattended while your gone!"

The dog is hardly going to turn the gas stove on and light a match, is he...

  • anybody know the name of the incident after this airing. With the fire truck and the e-brake?

  • "Firefighter Heart Attack" (the one from Episode 212)

  • if my dog got tageled like that she wouldnt no how to get out !

  • when i saw that i was so scared but i don't have a phone like that thank god!!!

  • how sextest!

  • say wha?!?!

  • That's so funny. The dog saved it's own life.

  • so does that make him his own hero?

    i thought it was funny

    thats a very smart dog!

  • why dont they just open the light?

  • @qtchique08 Cause there could be a burglar? I mean come on, cops are not that stupid.

  • aww cute.

  • there was only a little over 25,000 people in 2000. So, in 1990, there could have been less people then. Not only that, Ridgecrest is surrounded by mountains on four side, so it's one of those mountain towns.

  • wish my dog could do that

  • This is actually quite funny..:-)

  • WOW! That next episode looks really cool! What is it and do you have on here?

  • A fire chief has a heart attack at the wheel of a firetruck. Beatlemoe has uploaded it. It's "Firefighter Heart Attack" from Episode 212 (not the one from 504).

  • Is 'advanced 911' basically just a SS7 dip? If so it wouldn't too difficult of a application to make now-a-days.

Back in those days it wouldn't have been easy nor cheap. The companies that made those systems had to have made a fortune.

  • Haha aww bless him x Thats one clever and cute dog !

  • My 15 fish could never dial 911. That dog rocks :)

  • please some one tell me who is taking that baton out on minute 3:56 you cant see who takes it out.

  • thw guy on the left...its his shadow

  • this is the funnniest 911 call i ever heard of im glad the dog is ok it was a happpy

  • That's a very cool close-up shot of the dispatcher's computer screen at the beginning of the segment, before slowly panning up to Shatner.

  • 3 :56 lol that guys has 3 arms

  • You Have Some Good Eyes...lol; I Didn't Even Notice The Shadow When I 1st Saw It; lol....., It Did Look Like He Had 3 Arms

  • This is one of my favorite episodes. That dog rocks. It's a good thing it was able to dial 911 or he could have died.

  • What a bunch of retards, you don't leave your dog home alone unattended while your gone!

  • They said they had someone coming over and feeding/checking on the dog while they were gone.

  • i have 911 programed into my cell phone that could be really help full

  • You should never program your phone to speed dial 911. The dog probably pushed one button to speed dial.

  • I don't really see the point in not programming 911 into your phone.

  • hey do you happen to have the segment after this one where the fire truck crashes

  • I have that but it's too long. The firetruck doesn't crash, though. The guy driving it had a heart attack, and the other guy in the truck stopped it before it crashed.
