It takes intelligence to realize that people don't benefit from too much brainy BS. Movies are about emotions, and that movie had it in spades.

Critics are useful, but not for what they say they are. They're good for learning new ways of looking at things, but ultimately I still say, the only way to live is to be glad for whatever the hell you get to see. Its so easy to take things for a commodity when they're so available, but thats no way to live a happy life.

Am i the only guy in the world who thinks simpsons is not funny, just overrated. They do the dumb stuff with homer way too much to get laughs but sometimes they try to be clever its still not very funny. Its just been running a long time doing easy jokes so its a great show.

The Simpsons hasn't been funny since season 8 or so. Every week they have celebrityies and try to be clever with references that are not interesting. Look at it this way ... for the first few seasons the Simpsons WAS pop culture, no it just references pop culture. Not funny at all and terrible pedestrian writing.

Guess they didn't think they could involve all those other characters too much because they wanted to attract non-regular Simpsons-watchers, and they were afraid they didn't know all the characters. That also makes it harder to inject much satirical stuff. Anyway, I'm going to watch it on TV.

I'm from Australia and I know that the new episodes of The Simpsons/The Movie are very stupid jokes, the plot is sometimes completely irrelevant to the original story. Seasons 1-9 were the best. The other seasons are just for money, and for a self proclaimed intelligent man you sure aren't good at english.

This is the bitter Movie critic? I thought it'd be a little more, bitter. I thought there was a lot of imporvement needed in the movie. Like he said, the jokes were mainly Homer getting injured. But also, only the first half of the movie was funny. One thing that I had a MAJOR problemn with, Bart's ding-dong. because it's an animated movie, It's gonna attract a lot of young age children... You know what, I'm not gonna waste any more coment space.
