  • You know what's sad? In close to three years, one of the coolest live performances I've ever seen has only accrued 16000 views.

  • @narutouzumakifan191 i couldnt agree more im 9 years old and ive been a fan of the clash since i was 5 music today is just really bad no pure punk there will be nothing like the clash

  • I always wanted to know...What happened to Mick's guitar at the end of Garageland...

  • We're just gonna tune up so it sounds like the record.

Who wants it to sound like the record?

    No ... me neither !!!

    Classic stuff from Joe

  • I find this very easy to masturbate to.

  • i love the clash!

  • 4:10 Fuck Sid Vicious... here's Paul Simonon!

  • they're all probably geeked up on speed.

  • @mancheromancher

yeah man, more than fucking likely. the punk diet, speed and special brew!!!

  • @mancheromanchero Fuck off, they didn't even like speed, wouldn't matter if they were

  • @FuckVEVOHD The whole band were into speed for the first few years, smoked a lot of dope as well. Mick got into coke big time and unfortunately Topper got into smack.

All the original punk bands were pretty much into speed, it helped define UK punk music!

  • Wow, just wow

  • 6:45, I love how Joe's just like, "Aw, I gotta get up don't I? Wheres that mic?" And he goes straight into it.

  • damn joee, i misss you :(

  • 4:56 Joe goes .."we are just tuning up so that it sounds like the record, who wants it to sound like the record? ...me neither"

God, this Planet misses that man!

  • Man, this is an amazing clip, glad to see this performance uninterrupted (they showed clips of it in "Westway To The World"). Now, I love all eras of The Clash, especially the early, no-holds barred, amphetamine-fueled one...but I gotta admit, they sounded pretty shite playing wise when they put all their effort into hopping around like madmen. The balance between the two was probably best around the second album.

  • @leadmyskeptic I am a huge Clash fan and totally agree with what you say about the performance ,musically it`s very messy but it`s still fanatstic regardless of that .By 1978 they were a far tighter live act . This is evident in the live scenes for the Rude Boy film (although overdubbed)

If a gun was held to my head I`d pick Give Em Enough Rope my favourite :)

  • @strumbolli I feel exactly how you do

  • I think it goes like this... Paul is the image, the "look", Topper is the engine... the drivetrain, powering the whole thing, Mick is the talent and Joe?... Joe is the heart; together it is a magical beast, furious and ferocious, but not without mercy. To look back and see them in their glory... ROARING at speed is amazing. Look around 21st century... nothing even close to this, never will be.

  • 8:00 is hilarious. Joe needs a pat on the head in the middle of his frenzy.

  • Sin lugar a dudas una de las mejores bandas de la historia!!!

  • What a great video!! thanks!!

  • What a grat video!! thanks!!

  • Joe's power while singing is amazing. The only band that matters

  • Can I go back to this time and go to their concert? I wish I was born during the original punk rock movement!! The Ramones, The Clash....GOD!! I wanna see them live soooo bad!!!!

  • @Sicilianforlife i think about this all the time. i would do anything to of been alive for the first wave of punk. instead i'm living my youth with bieber, gaga and miley cyrus on every radio staton. bloody posers

  • @ripthisjoint908 during this time the Clash and the like were rarely heard on the radio .

  • Dude, he shouts fuck all, just listen to the sylabbles

  • @PBANDSNOW i thought he said "fuck off" but whatevs :D

  • 1:00-1:02, listen to Joes guitar!

  • DAMN what i love The Clash..

  • lmao i love how joe just like fell over

  • this video proves rock is best done by young people, not aging hippies

  • @wirebead dude, joey ramone was in his fifties when they stopped the ramones, they were still punk

  • @wirebead Which is why its so crazy that Joe is 25 here.
