Syracuse is a great place to move TO these days. No earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, nor plummeting real estate values. Four months of cross-country skiing and eight months of drop-dead beautiful. Just named one of the "smarter cities" by IBM, the only one so named in New York State. Syracuse is well into its renaissance.

Syracuse is a great place to be from...but I've been in L.A. since the late 70's. The 60's in Syracuse with Jam Factory, The Nightcaps, The Monterreys, and the Vikings were great. Have many fond memories of the State Fair....don't miss the wintry commute.

Part of this trip to work makes no sense???.... Why get off at Hiawatha Blvd?.... I mean you made your way to franklin and West street anyways so why not stay on 81 and get off at the Franklin West Street exit instead of Hiawatha?..... Nice vid anyways....

@varminblast I'm not from Syracuse but I've been there a couple of times. Perhaps they went that way because 81 is an elevated highway through much of Syracuse. If it was me, I would avoid the bridges as much as possible in that weather too. Less possibility of ice.

i use to drive 6 nights a week from midnight to 6 am in the worst syracuse storms ever. this video does no justice to syracuse cause the plows have already been out.

try doing this in pitch black and 3 feet of snow on the road blowing over your windshield and making it nearly useless to use your headlights.

btw this person should have taken 690 it would have been way faster. he took the long way. 57 is a nightmare and so is onondaga parkway.
