  • Dobermans are a very unique and special breed...I will always have one.

  • Um sir there is a huge spider on your wall ;P

  • Where did you get that raft? My dogs need ones of their own and I can never find a good one.

  • I can't even balance on them things! - Let alone jumping on them!

    Nice Doberman!

  • dobermans are so smart/silly/fun im so jelous you have a great dog!!!!

  • Big boy with an awesome show Crop. THUMBS UP to you for the responsible Doberman ownership.

    I commend you.

    Cheers

  • @LOKISlog7 I'm just wondering why you say cropping is responsible? I have mixed feelings on it, but I'm really not educated on the subject and am just wondering why some people say it's the "right" thing to do. I know they can have a problem with their tail so docking is recommended, but does cropping stop something too?

  • @Syst3m04 Hi; Its a contentious issue with many at YT You have a nice video. I dont want to wreck it with what will surely become a bitch-fest by the anti Crop and Dock lunatic fringe. Im an owner and advocate for it. I love my dogs and the breed. and have owned them all my life; Suffice to say I would NEVER own one if it wasn't CnD. Parasite, ear mites, Numerous types of bacteria and the yeast, Malassezia pachydermatis, excess moisture and ear anatomy are just a few reasons. Thanks n Cheers

  • @LOKISlog7 Thanks, I was just wondering. I know it's a hotly debated issue so I can understand your reservation but I do appreciate the response. I'm planning on getting a dog in a couple years when I finish school and am just trying to narrow down the breeds and learn as much as possible. I really do appreciate it.

  • @Syst3m04 My apologies; I thought this was your video. My bad; i didn't check. In regards to the breed I would highly recommend the Doberman Pinscher. CnD controversy aside; They are a smart, loyal, protective WORKING breed.. Although there is variation in temperament, a typical pet Doberman attacks only when it feels that it, its property, or its family are in danger. They are easy to take care of; but they do need your time and need daily exercise/walks etc. Do all the research needed. Cheers

  • @LOKISlog7 No problem. I'm looking into Dobermans, Rotts, Grate Danes, GSD, Boerboels, and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. I still have plenty of time so I'm just trying to find out which would be best suited for me. I appreciate your insight and Dobermans definitely seem like loving, highly intelligent dogs.

  • @Syst3m04 THUMBS UP If you allow me one last comment; You cannot go wrong with a GSD. Aside from their shedding; quite possibly the perfect dog. I know many who would swear to that. Good luck in your research. Hope to see what you choose on YT in the future.

    Cheers

  • once he's on the raft, you should get the guy a beer

  • Lol, he's so chill!

  • Gosh that looks like fun. XD

  • Beautiful dobie...buuuuut the big ol' spider on the wall kinda creeps me out.

  • someone call pest control

  • ROFL, what a guy Cooper is! Thanks so much for the video, in the top 10 Doberman vids on YouTube.

We have had 4 ( down to 1 now, sadly ) over the years and none of them even liked walking on wet grass. Anyone can see what an absolutely great time he is having and what great parents he adopted.

  • anyone else almost smack their screen?

  • wow im speechless, I wish I had a pool and a dog that loved to chill on one of those balloon madresses or whatever it's called in english.

  • MAN!! He's got some serious sea-legs w/that raft :-O. Be honest, now. Did he go apesh*t when you put that huge spider on the wall???

  • Cooper was gently introduced to water when he was about 5 months old. We never did anything to cause him to be fearful and he always saw us relaxing and enjoying the water. We did, however, have to teach him how to get out of the pool if he accidently fell in. He learned it well and is truly a strange Dobe with his love of swimming. Just FYI... he hates a bath! Tolerates it at best!

  • excellent video of a dobe who is thoroughly enjoying himself......as others have posted my dobes have never taken to the water they obviously don't what they are missing...

    well done Cooper & owners

  • I spent half of the video staring at that nightmarishly large spider, waiting for a leg or something to move so I could run away screaming.

  • i assume the spider is fake.. i almost wet myself when i first saw it

  • thats the coolest dog ever man wtf

  • Do they naturally love the water.

  • There is no doubt about it!! Dobies are the most fun and funniest breeds around.

I had different breeds in my past and got my first Dobe in 97.After the passing of my first one.

I got another, a couple of years later. This was the first time in my life that I wanted the same breed again!

The dobes in my opinion are number one with me.There is never a dull moment.

A breed with the most characteristics rapped up in one!.

Thx for sharing your dobe is aces and love em all! :)

  • Dobermans are hella smart! They know that there is actually a raft and knows how to get on and off it. Other breeds would just ignore or get clumsy around it. Cheers!

  • So cute. And I am jealous of your pool set-up :-)

  • so entertaining...not gonna lie

  • Spider! :S

  • I have to ask a question. Was Cooper trained to like the pool and water or did he just take to swimming by himself? I've had 5 Dobies over the past 30 or 35 years and only one (a red female) liked the water. I never saw her swim but she loved to run in the pond at our place. The black and tan male I have now couldn't care less about the water. He doesn't even like rain. After watching several videos of Dobies in the water, I'm just curious.

  • aaaaa spider!

  • Gorgeous, sweet Dobe, nice pool....creepy spider. LoL

  • awwww my dad had a dobe whos name was CJ aka Copper Jr. lol he loved the ocean. we had a min pin for about 16 years until last year she hated the water

  • aww lol did anyone else think that spider in the back was real when they first saw it?:L

  • More Cooper videos!!!

  • OMG the spider in the background freaked me out that i thought it was on my screen

  • Love this video! My Doberman can not swim at all. She's all legs when she gets in the water and looks like a drowning victim.

  • i cant beileve cooper can float on this but tundra cant

  • Beautiful dog...and he's a riot!! Beautiful pool, spider and the mural on wall too!

  • Not to scare you but there is a huge spider on the wall, you might wanna do something about it before it ate someone.

  • So COOL!!!

  • Boy, what a happy dog!

  • What a great dobbie!!!

  • fake spider??? :P

  • Too COOL! I loved the Labrador/Doberman and this guy takes to the water good. My first Doberman never got close to water for about the first year and a half of her life, except for a bath. I took her home one summer to my parents house that had a stream in the back yard. I pushed her in with my Dad there and he couldn't stop laughing as she couldn't swim. She would walk on the bottom and slap the water. After a few days she got the hang of the dogie paddle though. Thanks & Y'all have a great dog

  • fantastic video :D

  • this dog is great! I have two dobermans, both who love the water too, My red/rust's favorite thing to do is to go inter-tubing down the river, they are such cool dogs

  • We Love him!!!!!!!

  • So awesome! My dog "Victor the Doberman" also loves water. Unfortunately he just underwent emergency surgery for sudden onset of Wobblers this last Friday. Looks like you love your dog as much as I. Very cool.

  • @trigeeker

what were the first signs of wobblers for your dog? I'm affraid my fawn dobie has it

  • @Mrstamzers

Cooper does not have Wobblers. A viewers dog does. If you suspect Wobblers, get him to a vet quick for a diagnosis, as this is a VERY painful condition.

  • Thanks for ranking our boy, Cooper, your #1 Dobe video. He is a wonderful, fun guy!

    Teri & Jeff

  • Wow, that was amazing!! Great looking dog and so smart :)

  • If I had not seen it, I would not believe it. A dob on a lilo in a pool. That is just great.

  • What in the hell!! I have never in my life seen anything like that before. Unbelievable!! You wouldn't see mine go near water.
