Great!!!!! Wow the memories....This song was a TRIPPERS FAVE...... But what a great band and a very influential inspiration to greats Like Oasis-Verve- and even RADIOHEAD (my GOD) Thanks a bunch....for NOWHERE in its whole glory
This album stands up better today than any of its generation , in my opinion. Most of the music from that time sounds quite dated now (imo), but not this. Wonderful.
@ashenthorn I was at the May 92 show at RPM in TO for Ride, and Slowdive opened up. I remember Rachel Goswell was walking around by the bar and was so nice to everyone who said hi. I also remember being up at the front of the stage early in the night waiting for the show to start and Aztec Cameras cover of the Van Halen song Jump being played as one of the songs before Slowdive came on. I always think of that show when ever I hear that song.
very great! :) good old times - my first CD I ever bought was the e.p. unfamiliar from 1992 or so... the drumming was my fav in every song, then I started to play drums...
reminds me when I used to wear big army boots and I used to cut the end of my jeans off so they used to fray.... I couldn't see through my own hair hanging over my eyes, all I could think about in school lessons werer these, the stone roses, charlatans....
this song is both otherworldly trippy and heavy down-to-earth at the same time! one of their best tracks undoubtedly. it is uplifting and sad, combines those many mixed emotions that are felt during the trips
nevermind the single tune just an awesome band full stop! i've not stopped listening to them in 20 years! lol just a shame more people dont share that opinion ):

This reminds me of the Emotive Hardcore band called 'I Hate Myself'.
Mostly because of the vocals.

This is just the heart of Nowhere!...the pedals, the ethereal, the noise, the drumming, the vocals...every ingredient in my favorite dish is here.

one of the best drummers to exist in indie, check out the song Paralysed, what clear, offbeat drumming, it is a tune all to itself...
