Great recording. A few of the endings weren't quite as crisp as this piece demands. Nice use use of dynamics. I do agree that the "in lege domini" section towards the middle needs more power. This is the 1st "climax" of the piece. All in all, spectacular performance. I hope to hear more from the men and women from southern Georgia in the near future.
When we sing it, we sing it a tad faster... But it sounds to work just fine in this pace as well.. :) I sing the Bass 1 :)... BTW, this was a stricht boys/mens choire, right?.. My choire is, that's why I'm asking :)
men and women no sectioning. mixed vocal seating. I sang 2nd alto and sat between the Strongest bass singer a tenor and infront of a soprano 1. Eventually I will get the vid up for the men's group. They were singing Back to Ethiopia and it was my absolute favorite piece the guys did.
Thx for Posting. Nice seeing a Video with this great piece of music, not influenced by a visual choir. This sounds a lot like when I sing it with my Choir.. just came from Rehearsal where we sang it, and yes, the entrance at 1:39 is extremely important :P Everyone has to go FORTE there. :p
Unfortunately not all of them were as FORTE as I was. and the vid/slideshow is from the totally awesome trip to Italy we took. We sang this while over there so I thought it was quite fitting!
