We are in the 5th season of Gossip girl and I always wondered why the character of Serena (even being the nicer one of both) bothers me so much.. now going back and watching this episode made me realise this is where I started truly disliking her..

I am just glad that the writers finally realised that it was time to give the lead to Queen B and end the Serena show!

Serena may have a nice body, and she may have a cute face, and she may be a little more outgoing than Blair. But that doesn't give her a right to say that to Blair. Blair has a beautiful face, a stunning body, and a great personality. She is who she is and never tries to be someone else. Not to mention she has class while Serena's extremely slutty. I hate how everyone chases after Serena when Blair is so much better than her!

I hate Blair and she had that coming. Why does she think she's so much better than Serena? At least Serena is kind at her core and not some vindictive insecure schemer who thinks no one should be allowed to say bad things about her because then they'll be true. Screw Blair. well remember: serena was trying to protect blair's feelings throughout this whole episode (not wanting to go to the fashion show, etc.) and when she went over to her house blair was using her insecurities out on her. nice serena was getting boring, she grew a pair and actually stood up for herself. i mean even in the fashion show she was worried about blair, and when poppy talked her into it blair totally tricked her. y can blair get away with being a bitch and serena cant??

@AliceCullensAwesome It doesn't seem that serena starts it all the time it seems that serena gets something blair wants and blair ends up crossing the line trying to get her way. Remember that blair is the one that plays games and she plays them dirty. It's not really serena's fault that everyone loves her. Serena is prettier, sexier and nicer than blair but not as glamorous, smart or as driven as blair. I think the main factor why blair isn't as popular is because she isn't as approachable.

@harry911tk I would consider that a valid response for the first two seasons, but if you look at what's just happened now in season 4, Serena is being a bitch to Blair because Blair's outshining her for the first time. When Serena said that "the only thing you liked about Dan was that he was mine" I literally wanted to smack her because she couldn't ever picture that Blair wanted to be friends with Dan because she liked him, and that Dan might actually like Blair more than he likes Serena.

i know, blair's a great friend to serena too. in the sense that she always looks out for her and tries to keep her out of trouble.

but i can't see how you say serena doesn't do anything for blair. she's ALWAYS careful because she knows how insecure blair is, so she makes sure she doesn't feel "second best". she's ALWAYS there for her, she's cancelled so many dates with dan to be there for her etc.

like i say i love blair. i just don't think serena gets enough credit for being so good to her :)
