  • Out of curiosity, did you build this PC, or did you buy a pre-built PC? If it's as pre-build, how much did it cost and what computer is it? It it's a custom build, when did you build it?

  • @KyonGivesYouFacepalm Good question. My computer started out as a store-bought HP p6230y that I found refurbished online for $500. I later added a $120 video card, an overclocked Nvidia GTS 450 to be exact, along with new speakers ($40-50), a new HD monitor ($100), and a webcam ($35). I think of the video card upgrade as the only true upgrade, with the other features as just extras, so you could say that my computer is slightly custom-built for $620. It does real well on games.

  • @hookonsonic2 I bought the computer on 6/30/10, added the webcam/microphone on 9/14/10, and added the video card on 2/14/11. The video card that came with the computer, an AMD Radeon HD 4200, was a piece of junk that could hardly run WoW on anything but lower-level settings. I regret not upgrading it sooner.

I'm actually planning on building a new computer from scratch in the near future. The problem? Money. It should cost between $2000-2600, and I've got less than $1000. It'll be a while..

  • @hookonsonic2 $2600?! For that amount of money, you'll be building a PC with over 100GB of RAM and a 10TB SSD! I'm planning on building a PC. I just followed the recommended specs of "Battlefield 3", added everything I needed to my Newegg account, and it added up to $919. And that's with Windows 7 Ultimate. If I were to settle with Home Premium, it would be a bout $50 less. A monitor, however, is out of the equation for now.

  • @KyonGivesYouFacepalm Well, the three 3D monitors are the biggest part of the cost. Either way, I'm getting 3 1080p monitors. I don't know if I'll really stick with the 3D or not. There are other ways to get 3D, but the nice monitors make it much better.

  • @hookonsonic2 Why three 3D monitors? Isn't one enough? Also, what are the specs of the PC you plan on building?

  • @KyonGivesYouFacepalm Why 3? I want three monitors anyway, so why not make them 3D?

I don't yet know what I'm gonna do for a CPU. I might go with that new AMD FX-8150, but it seems to be terrible at single-core stuff. I might have to go with some super fancy i7. For video cards, I'll be using two Nvidia GTX 560's. I'll have 16GB of RAM. I'll also use a 120GB SSD, mainly for the OS and major applications. I haven't decided on a motherboard because that requires some planning.

  • @hookonsonic2 If I were you, I'd settle with one 3D monitor, a quad-core Intel I5 or I7 CPU, one Nvidia GTX 560, 4GB of RAM and at least a 1TB HDD.

SSD's may be faster and more reliable, but it's not worth it for the little space you get and the extra money you're spending. From what I've heard, Intel is better than AMD even though Intel is a bit more expensive. 4GB of RAM is all you need for just about anything. And a single GTX 560 is all you need to max out most games nowadays.

  • @KyonGivesYouFacepalm I'm the type of guy that has to go overboard on these things. One monitor of any sort is not enough. I use two right now, but I'd like three. 4GB of RAM? I've got 8GB right now. I practically idle at 4GB with all of the programs I'm always running. A quad-core is what I have now, but I always need more. 6 is going to be my new minimum. I will have 8TB of HDD storage, in addition to the SSD. The 8TB will just be for typical file storage.

  • S.O.P.A = Shitty, Ogre's, Pingaz, And more,

  • most epic game play seen

  • @TheCoonCommenter88 Thanks! I've seen only one or two runs that are truly better than mine. There are a few that have much better times, but they use the drift glitch and I don't think that's fair. I'm glad you like this!

  • @hookonsonic2 I'm a proud subscriber my friend

  • you can go faster if you go super.

  • @fireforce51 That's not entirely true. Going super merely grants you invincibility and infinite boost, as well as the ability to have Sonic boost himself through the level without you having to do anything. While that may provide a speedup in some spots, it takes at least a second to activate, and one second is a lot in the speedrun world. Plus, it wouldn't be a fair speedrun if I went Super Sonic.

  • dude i just finished downloading all these parts can't w8 to play it

  • i noticed there wasnt any bluring on this games it made ubleashed look faster

  • Nice lol sonics grunts sound weird now i miss his old ones lol. This comment sounds weird.....

  • Sonic sounds quite aggressive

  • @CornishCreamtea07 Tis the srs, not so fun, Japanese voice he's using.

  • @Adventruer That's absolutely right. Although I prefer Roger Craig Smith over Jason Anthony Griffith, I think that Junichi Kanemaru (じゅにち かねまる)is the best VA by far.

  • i got to 1.45 tonight, 119th in the world :D

  • what stage is the red ring for endless possibilities in?

  • @Scarredgraymouse It's not in any specific level, it becomes available after a specific amount of rings are collected.

  • @Bioniclefan45 oooooh.

  • I'm shocked even in one hour this is the fourth comment and not the 500th

  • sonic you certainly out done yourself this time

  • Damn.... you went so fast, that it screwed up my speakers :O

  • Very nice job, well done.
