I just wanted to get some quick footage online, used windows 7 movie maker. Getting 20 FPS, i have ordered one of the MD80 copies from Hong Kong (£13.50 delivered) and am waiting for it to be delivered, i am curious what the difference will be. The cd cover doesn't look the best but does the job. Just wrapped it around and then held on with elastic. I also use a tie wrap around the camera and mount to stop the thing falling off. Gotta say that the images are way better than the tachyon.
I might have seen it that soon, it definitely looks okay now.
You ordered the cheapest one? So what is this one?
I would expect the "Veho Muvi", proper one to be 25fps, the middle priced clone is what seems to vary (20,25,30fps), and I got a 20fps clone (metal case, slide switches etc).
I'm not sure how you mean you have made a clear plastic case with a CD cover... any images?
I want to get a cheaper one too, so I can gut it, and mount it INSIDE the helmet (and extend its controls/battery).
Pretty good, but the encoding is pretty low and blocky. Encode to a higher bit rate when you do your editing, and just be patient with the larger upload.
Also, what fps do you get? Real FPS, not the header FPS.
I'd be interested to see what your home made cover looks like and the helmet mount, it's an awkward shape camera to mount up top :/
The speed of that car at 0:30 is just shockingly scary.
Did you watch it the instant it was upoaded, if so it may not have finished being rendered by youtube.
