Just didnt like seeing the one FF whos helmet fell off and then proceeded to continue looking in the grill of the car. That is just plain unsafe, good to see at least every1 was all packed up w/ hoods, and when those 3 FFs were looking into the grill kneeling thats really not needed is it? I mean pry the hood W/ a suppression spray of foam and u should be ok, good job otherwise
@citizenklube: Yea it's the strangest thing, when a car is on fire the plastic hood release handle tends to melt. The majority of hoods need to be forced open during a car fire. You can see them reaching inside the driver side door to attempt to pull the cord. Also all the electronics inside are fried so the doors usually won't open either.
@panerai111 I suppose it would depend on how far the fire progressed by the time they arrived. Next time my car starts on fire, I'm pulling the hood release and leaving the door open. Then I'm grabbing my fire extinguisher from under the driver's seat!
@ Kelley not questioning their training or their amazing dedication, y guess it was more like a point of conversation, and get more people to see the great job they do, and to tease a friend of mine who is a member of that particular department. No bad intentions. Thanks for your comment
Thanks eichhoffr24, it is also interesting that the firefighters were not expecting that to happen. Also interesting is to see the ligths of the car going on and off like giving the last good bye.
@dr7asans, thanks for your comment.

@mickichef I believe they are not Volunteers

@Lospuravida They look a touch lost for career fire fighters. First time I have ever seen a firies helmet fall off like that. Pretty poor effort.

@Lospuravida Actually Robbinsdale FD is a paid on call department which is almost like being a volunteer. They don't live at the station.

surprised to see their training questioned. they are consummate at what they do. And last I checked, emergencies/fires like this aren't predictable.
