@stdtexstephd the quran says "wa al-alreda dahaha" which means that god has expanded the earth. "dahaha" دحاها in arabic. Also, the same word refer to the shape of the ostrich's egg.

So either way your Allah lied or maybe mohammed lied about what your Allah said either way or any way you take it the book is wrong.
@stdtexstephd You decided to consider the other version of translation which is the egg's shape and that's ok. Being egg shaped implies that it isn't round which was a strong belief before NASA's pictures of the earth. In such a text, figures aren't possible to explain exactly the correct shape so comparing things to a normal shape that people come across is popular since 1400 years and still is.

The quran has mentioned many strong newly discovered scientific facts such as this verse which says "He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky" Al-An'am verse 125. who would say such a thing more than 1400 years ago? and who would say that the earth is egg-shaped at that time?

(more than a thousand years before Moses). That was more than 1400 years ago. so why would your Allah say it was egg shape.

Being egg shaped implies that it isn't round which was a strong belief before NASA's pictures of the earth. In such a text, figures aren't possible to explain exactly the correct shape so comparing things to a normal shape that people come across is popular since 1400 years and still is.

The quran has mentioned many strong newly discovered scientific facts such as this verse which says "He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky" Al-An'am verse 125. who would say such a thing more than 1400 years ago? and who would say that the earth is egg-shaped at that time?

(more than a thousand years before Moses). The Greek philosopher Pythagoras, who was born in 532 B.C.E., defended the spherical theory on the basis of observations he had made of the shape of the sun and moon. That was more than 1400 years ago. so why would your Allah say it was egg shape.

@Adoooolah أعيد وأكرر أنا ولد مب بنت ، والله يهدي الجميع ، أنا ماقارنت الشعراء الحاليين بالشاعر حسان بن ثابت رضي الله عنه ، بس أفهمج أنه الشعر أدب ، وفي شعراء على مستوى كبير ، خالد العتيبي !! شوفي شعره وبعدين تعالي رمسي وقولي شعراء التفاهة وفي غيره ، أنا خصصت ما عمّمت بس حطيت لج صدر من بيت فقصيدة محمد بن فطيس ، والله العظيم أنه صدق ، أغنى العرب من شوف أكاديمي ستار =)

@Adoooolah ، أهم شي أنج اعترفتي أنه الشعر أدب ، ونحن نحتاي للشعر سواء كان غزلي أو مدح أو ذم أو هجاء أو فخر ، لا تنكرين أنه هالأنواع من الشعر ما كانت موجودة زمان !! ،، أنا ولد مب بنت ،، والحين بتاكلين نص اللي كتبته وبتاخذين من اللي يعيبج وترومين تردين عليه والباقي بتيلسين ع السايلنت نفس كل ساعة تسوين؟
