While this video is creepy and corny, my school had a shower. Both my high school and the college I went too. We also have them at work, I use a lot of concentrated nitric, sulfuric, hydrochloric and it's really no joke. When you handle chemicals responsibly they're safe but accidents can happen. If you spill them on your cloths they can burn right though, and the injuries than can cause are serious and painful. Especially with sulfuric.

Of course in highscool and college most of your teachers and TAs will make solutions of chemicals that need careful handling most of the time in advance, they won't make you pour acids out of the jugs they come in, obviously. Still, safety is very important. Always wear gloves while working with chemicals and equipment, wear your goggles at all times.
