In just about every war innocent people are the victims on both sides. In a country there are good people on both sides. It's mostly the governments that do the wrong and choose to go to war. Also torture shows to not work with getting information. Also i wouldn't want the government to be able to label someone a terrorist for no good reason and then the innocent people get tortured. The government has tortured thousands of people in Iraq alone with less then 1% being terrorist.
the liberals dont want to force econmic policies on everybody i dont know where you get that stuff from all we want to do is make sure the banks cant gamble with our money and make it so corps are making more money after taxes and to actually balance the budget
@kazooga1234 yea, it's been shown that other methods are more effective...I would only believe in torture in the classic "ticking time bomb" scenario where we KNOW something is about to happen, not if we just suspect it.
i think in some cases from history i would say yes as long as its justified before hand and thought through completely but it has to be done 100% legally as well and from the history books i have to say a few wars were nessisary but there are other wars that are 100% shouldnt have been started and are completely pointless and most wars go under the pointlessness and this is a ha bisky upload
I think war is an unnatural thing, because I honestly don't believe their are that many people out their just itching to kill each other.
Wars seem to be started over political or religious differences.. But it will be someone of course at the top that decides this.
I can understand a country wanting to have defenses in place, just like I keep my front door locked. I know everyone isn't a saint. I follow the philosphy of walk quitely carry a big stick.
@MRSketch09 Yea, I think war isn't what is optimal for humans, but you think it's unnatural? I wish it was!!! I agree with you tho! there aren't that many people who just want to kill, but it's funny how many people will if someone in authority tells them to.
@AmanJohnX War is unnatural, fighting isn't. Wars are normally fought on a much larger scale than small skirmishes, or battles. Its not like its a group of villagers fighting another group, or even a villiage or city fighting off some bandits or thieves. Its nation against nation. I'm not smart enough now to articulate what I am trying to get across. *Sighs* Normally people are too individualistic to unite in such a mass of desctructive force. I guess thats what I meant by "unnatural."
Great video, Aman. I gotta watch this video again later when I'm UI, nah mean? Don't judge, I love these things when I'm high. I know you don't smoke or anything, but just because you don't don't look down at people who do which I don't think you do, but... I'm making no sense. Anyways, gonna add this to favs for later! Thanks for your thoughts, Aman. :)
@KapteinFruit LOL - hey, I don't care about weed, I don't smoke for other reasons =) to be an example to people who feel like they HAVE to do drugs to be cool. I'm not a hater
think about soldiers. There people who may believe there doing good for the intention to protect the vunerable, but keep in mind they dont have a say in where they go. Therefore, even at times soldiers are told to go where they might feel its not needed. We need our government to save lives and to show war is not the only option. We need more people speaking their minds, as opposed by being brainwashed by the government. People dont see the consquences of war nowadays. Tc :)
@PeaceTrainFan I like your comment, and thanks for enlightening me about how it goes down in the UK b/c we're not really told how entrenched other nations are in the conflict, it's made out to just be US against the world.
each week), all MP's can say is 'can we hold a minute silence for soldier so and so' and thats it! those names are fogotten because there are so many soldiers who have died and the death toll is growing! No one considers those soldiers families..those fathers, children, wives. And the government wants more money from us to fund this, when were going through a recession! Its needless. Why cant we save lives and money instead. Although i agree you say its good people who need to make a stand lets
Hi Aman! I am very much the same, I hate war, and see it unecessary, however I would not say that world war 1 and world war 2 were wrong. I think circumstances change perceptions of war. But at the current moment, living in the UK, we have a war in Afghanistan that is causing nothing but pain. Soldiers are sent there to fight for a cause, and all you get are soldiers returning home in coffins, and during prime minister question time (a show where they display what goes on in the house of commons
@AmanJohnX I mean, most Americans go to school, but they don't teach you how to apply that knowledge. I feel like there's a culture of knowing a lot but living stupid in America.
I very much agree with your views on war being wrong, but being something that we have to deal with in an uneducated society that wont stand up for morality. I claim to be a pacifist, but I'm 19 and take no interest in politics. What does that say about me? If I wont get involved, I might as well be condoning it. :( This has shaken me up.
@danaannrx =) I know, right lol but seriously, I could bring an end to that conflict....but something tells me "higher" powers (human) are purposely preventing a peaceful solution
just finished watching, and I must say, this is completely true. There are so many people fighting wars, that don't even know why. But that's what happens when you just do a job for money and don't take time to really think WHY are you doing this?
Like this video..or else.

I wish Isreal and Palestine should settle their territorial disputes with online FPS games like Counter Strike or MW.

Aman, did you see the movie "Unthinkable"? Sam Jackson torturing people to try to find out where bombs are. Pretty interesting stuff.

If a civilian takes arms against an invading army, does that make him not innocent? If his life is taken is it justifiable by the invading army.

So war is only as necessary as we as a society make it.

@nowwithmorekick you're right, but it reminds me of what Martin Luther King Jr. said
