SPOILER-ALERT anyways, i can totally imagine Orochimaru coming back when no one expects him and turning the whole ninja war to his favor, pwning tobi, and taking HIS body with Rinnegan and Sharingan. Then use the eyes to control the tailed beasts(or maybe recreate the 10tailed) for a jutsu that will make him immortal so he can learn all the jutsus in the worl, which always has been his dream(evil laugh)^^ ...(and all that only to be beaten by naruto and sasuke who will be best buddies againX-)

I agree with Deidaaraa . Orochimaru is the coolest character in naruto not only villain. He used so many tecniques when fighting .. he was like the coolest .. everybody else only used like 2-3 tecniques .. he had a lot in his repertoire.. and the snake jutsus were so fuckin cool.

Orochimaru can easily be defined as the coolest villain in the Naruto Series--- he was the first to know that Tobi was not the "real" Madara Uchiha and in the latest manga, Suigetsu found some sort of scroll that Oro made and from the expressions of Suigetsu, it must have been quite powerful. In my opinion, he is the second most intelligent shinobi behind Itachi. He deserved to be included in the Legendary Sanin.
Let me emphasize on a few factors. Orochimaru can not take full credit for discovering that Tobi wasn't the real Madara Uchiha. Look at this from the root of things. Because of the 2nd Hokage's Reanimation Jutsu, it allowed Oro to dwell into a secret of that extent.
It's not something he figured out without evidence. More than likely, Oro made a past attempt to summon Madara Uchiha and once he realized that it worked, he concluded that Tobi was a fake.
It's similar to the way it was hypothesized that the Sharingan can progress even further into the Rinnegan. They needed actual test data to confirm their theories. By reviving Madara and him demonstrating that he acquired the Rinnegan, their theories came to fruition.
It's not like either of them flat out said.."Yeah, he's not Madara Uchiha." they needed proof. Even the shinobi alliance would constantly allude.."That's the masked man calling himself Madara."
Orochimaru was one of the greats, but I'd hardly label him as the.."Coolest villain in the Naruto series." We've already seen what all he can do. He's transfixed on the idea of obtaining Immortality and learning all jutsu.
He's the sort of villain that's been done to death, whereas we have this masked individual that we have no background on, other than the fabrications he's made about himself. He's created more controversy than Orochimaru ever has.

We will never know the true potential of Itachi. Let's not forget that the guy was merely 21 years of age at his death. If he truly desired such, he could've followed the kind of path Orochimaru did and accomplished the same feats.
But his lust wasn't for power. It was to protect Sasuke. Not to mention the age difference. Orochimaru was in his 50's, whereas Itachi was less than half his age. Even suffering by disease. Can you imagine how bad ass he'd be by 50?

He cleverly plans ahead of everything and is very powerful--- he owned the Complete Nagato in less than 30 seconds and broke away from the Edo Tensei. Orochimaru is the second most intelligent in the series in my opinion, but in combat, he has failed to show his true strength.

His abilities to cleverly plan everything beforehand gives him an advantage over all ninjas in the series that we've seen so far. Do remember when Itachi said to Sasuke, that "when you possess the same eyes as I do, come back and face me"? He meant it literally. Read Naruto Manga Ch. 574 and 575. Nagato is awesome, but is not on the same level as Itachi by any means.

In all of his battles, Itachi only played around and still owned, and even let most of his rivals win, especially those of the Konoha. In my opinion, Itachi, due to his intelligence, would be in the class with Hashirama Senju who happens to come in a close second to Rikudou Sennin. I mean who breaks free from the Edo Tensei and takes full control of their body? Certainly not Nagato.

Rikudou Sennin is considered a god in the series. Also Madara Uchiha is stronger than Itachi i'm pretty sure. Considering he has the Rinnegan and everything the EMS can do.

@Joker96man Sasuke aka "Sasgay" to haters would have beaten Deidara in the long run. Deidara was a long distance type which usually proved effective, until the sharingan which Itachi used to own Deidara in one move. Deidara realizing he was finished decided to take Itachi's brother with him in an attempt to destroy the sharingan which he refused to believe was art.

No Patrick Itachi sealed Orochimaru with the sword of Totsuka (aka a cup of apple juice). The only way for Orochimaru to escape is through Kabuto, but seeing as he is weak compared to the major characters in the series there's no point.
Think about it... Itachi sealed Orochimaru in his Susanoo with his eyes- Sasuke has Itachi's eyes implanted, so maybe Orochimaru could cleverly find a way out. He's the best villain, there is no way he could go down the way he did... maybe.

@FireEmblemSolo That's only because Itachi has never shown his true strength in any of his battles. In all of his battles, Itachi only played around and still owned, and even let most of his rivals win, especially those of the Konoha. In my opinion, Itachi, due to his intelligence, would be in the class with Hashirama Senju who happens to come in a close second to Rikudou Sennin. I mean who breaks free from the Edo Tensei and takes full control of their body? Certainly not Nagato.

@patricknonstar I hope you realize that it was merely luck that Itachi broke free from Edo Tensei he never planned for it. Also the First Hokage is no were near Rikudou Sennin. Rikudou Sennin is considered a god in the series. Also Madara Uchiha is stronger than Itachi i'm pretty sure. Considering he has the Rinnegan and everything the EMS can do.

No Patrick Itachi sealed Orochimaru with the sword of Totsuka (aka a cup of apple juice). The only way for Orochimaru to escape is through Kabuto, but seeing as he is weak compared to the major characters in the series there's no point.

Did you see what happened when Orochi tried to kill Itachi? EPIC FAIL! And did you see when Itachi broke free of the Edo Tensei and just owned the complete Nagato? There is no doubt that he is one of the most skilled ninjas in the series, but he is far from a villain. Therefore, Orochi is the best villain.
