After watching the whole video I have to say:

Viktor Mayer-Schönfelder is a dangerous man, he speaks manipulative, mixing some facts with a lot of guessing and opinion.

Viktor Mayer-Schönfelder is an enemy of the free web and and a progressive society which stands the challenges of "the mirror internet" instead of smashing it into pieces like Mayer-Schönfelder obviously suggests.

Viktor Mayer-Schönfelder is an enemy of a better future for mankind. Full of fears and prejudices, I pity him.

if a person who fulfilled all the professional learnings for becoming a teacher is judged by ONE picture where she is supposed to be drunken THAN the problem lies in the system and not with the teacher.

It is unbelievable how Mayer-Schönberger is making propaganda for a system which forces people to be conditioned by supposed judgements in the future.

The people who judge people by fotos are WRONG, not the person who lives a rich and ambivalent life.

Interesting video, I think that, like everything else kept randomly and in excess, the data become valueless. Lots of pointless information is recorded, and people loose track of what is important.

I have always warned my family to be careful what they put in writing as it cannot be taken back. Even more so with the internet. It's out there for everyone to see and tag and share. This is really big brother in action and if we protest, it will be shown to us that we have agreed and signed our name to allow people to record us. Or if we protest before signing, we will be unable to partake in the activity. How can we undo all this? Very interesting video Viktor.

I think this is why we need a universal transactor--a proxy of sorts that stands between us and all of the entities we do business with to prevent information about us from being collected anywhere besides a protected place that we control.

The information is valuable and shouldn't be forgotten. We ourselves might decide to sell it. But it shouldn't be possible for others to find out so much about us just because the people we do business with are able to keep such records.
