  • Has anyone noticed that the actress looks a lot like Drew Barrymore? At 1st I thought it was just me but I called my 13 year old brother and asked him who she looked like and he said charlie's Angels girl so now I know i was right!

  • Beautiful music, ugly actors

  • Eeeehm, rape anyone?

  • I don't think that's a well-done representation of Don Juan. He was "the world's greatest lover," not the world's most unsuccessful rapist. Shame on both the writer and the director, not to mention the person who came up with that make-up...

  • @Lairell Ha you are vulgar! John Barrymore? You have no idea who the F this was. this was a real Hollywood Star. The make-up?!!! Listen buddy, Valentino made it fashionable for men to wear make-up in America during the roaring gay 20's. I know all the revisionist history what a real man acts and looks like today, with the reactioanry fascist MacArthuthy propaganda that everyone has been brainwashed in America over the last 50 years, but please dont insult this man, you arent worthy.

  • he is creepy

  • I wouldn't call that seduction :/

  • did she really stabbed that sword in her body

  • Didnt know Drew barrymore was that old...

  • this is a violation hahahahha

  • I want to get that DVD-R when they release it, too.

  • This must be Don Juan's first lesson in a little thing called "rape".

  • I will kiss you most violently, while joyful music plays

  • The first successful synchronous film was Warner Brothers 'Don Jaun' 1926, consisting of a music score and sound effects.

  • Thanks for the info

  • The Warner Archives are planning a DVD-R release of this film. It s supposed to also include all of the Vitaphone shorts that were included in the original program when it was released in 1926.

  • "You are a charming actress, Madonna"

  • I have this whole movie on VHS and plan on getting the DVD. Barrymore makes it look so easy and silent film acting was not easy. Emoting with your face, a minor twitch of the mouth, slight movement of the eyes said a thousand words. Remember you had no speech. Masters like Barrymore, Valentino, Priscilla Dean, Lillian Gish, Garbo and others made it look effortless.

  • only an ignorant ass would think this movie has anything to do with music videos or Madonna the singer. The clip and intertitles in this movie is from Don Juan, a movie that came out in 1926, 32 years before Madonna was born. (thanks umpkket, explaining 'madonna' to people not in the know.)

  • madonna it's just an italian old fashion way to say "honorable and respectable woman",

    used often in the past

  • Disgusting "wow" in the disc; easy enough to fix but obviously it's "Get it Out the Door as cheap and Fast As Possible Without Giving A Shit."

  • Is this coming out on DVD?

  • What are you sources? I can imagine that could've been the case, but am sceptical drawing conclusions.

Something else: do i see that someone actually put a '-1' to my previous comment? Whoever did this - get yourself a life, will you? I have a hunch who that was... Geesh, GROW UP!

  • Ahahaha! This is SO GREAT! I must make a remake, MUST MUST MUST! Their expressions, the details - can not stop laughing. Jumping as we speak... so to speak... ah, never mind! :)

  • But can you believe that this particular Vitaphone production is considered to be the ancestor of our current music videos? (Actually looking at it, I can see where that would be the case. It even has a mention of a Madonna).
