I don't think that's a well-done representation of Don Juan. He was "the world's greatest lover," not the world's most unsuccessful rapist. Shame on both the writer and the director, not to mention the person who came up with that make-up...

The Warner Archives are planning a DVD-R release of this film. It s supposed to also include all of the Vitaphone shorts that were included in the original program when it was released in 1926.
I have this whole movie on VHS and plan on getting the DVD. Barrymore makes it look so easy and silent film acting was not easy. Emoting with your face, a minor twitch of the mouth, slight movement of the eyes said a thousand words. Remember you had no speech. Masters like Barrymore, Valentino, Priscilla Dean, Lillian Gish, Garbo and others made it look effortless.
