  • playing this as lead horn as a senior in high school. i'm grateful for my band teacher who wouldn't be satisfied if the wind ensemble was playing in their comfort zone, as we've played other pieces such as Rhapsody in Blue and La Fiesta Mexicana. You haven't heard real music until you've heard those three songs.

  • The trumpet duet at 2:40 gives me goose bumps every time!! Love this piece!!

  • First semester in college? I played all of them junior year in high school. Not hard at all. The timpani in the 2nd and 4th movements is crazy fun!

  • @kilakat6vids I'm playing this right now in highschool, and I'm a sophmore. The first 3 movements are not hard at all but the last one is kind of tricky.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I also played all 4 movements of Paris Sketches my first semester in college... darn that Allen Clark (band director) always challenging us. This one was my favorite movement, followed by mvt 2; that one reminded me of BANJO KAZOOIE hardcore... lol

On a side note, I would LOVE to see PARIS SKETCHES on the field.

  • @faroutinspacedude what do you mean by :"I would LOVE to see PARIS SKETCHES on the field"?

  • @eranmargalit @faroutinspacedude would like to see this arranged for a marching band.

it's already been done. there are vids of it on youtube i'm pretty sure.

  • @eranmargalit I imagine they are talking about these pieces as a marching band show? It seems like it would be a cool marching show if done well.
