@flipslamjumpjumpjump I think I like them both about equal just because they are different with different tones, two different worlds. I do enjoy how the flatwounds feel on the fingers on the fretless compared to the roundwounds on the fretted though. That's nice.
@Pudsy440 I read an interview in guitar player w/ Jack Bruce & his preference for med guage SIT round wounds on the Warwick because of the punch it gave w/ ( at the time )Hughes Kettner Fortress pre amp & Hartke set up.in contrast every Fender i ever picked had the boomier flatwounds. But on your acoustic(which i really dig btw) you articulate very well indeed
@Profingers13 Personally, I would definatly say fretted. Fretless is difficult to learn, but I guess if you started with that, you would just be that much better starting out.
I would definetly get an amp for this bass. It's much too soft without one. But make sure the amp feedback resistant because this bass is hollowbody and will feedback. The SWR natural blonde and california blonde are great for acoustic- electric instruments (bass/guitar). Rock on.
Actually, the neck has the Michael Kelly Club series inlay in it. The site doesn't currently list either of the Club models in a fretless, but that's what the body shape and neck suggest it is. :D
oh yeah ... i did the roundwounds that came with it were horrible... felt bad on the fingers and were chewing up the board ... I hated them. this michael kelly works nice with light gauge regular flats for electric bass.
Some of the Belgian beers are GREAT eh ... some of the best anywhere IMO ... I'll look for that in my local liquor store ... they have quite a few imports.
propeller? just moved up here to Scotia about 6 months ago. Its fantastic.

Sounds awesome to me...
I could play this on a fretted bass, but it would sound shitty.

Scottish ales rock IMO ... you got it made Moo and you don't even know it ... or do you?
Pudsy440 3 years ago
yum yum yes I do but being a poor student I tend to opt for the cheaper drinks of a night usually :(
Islay Ales are my favourites...drank a lot of that on holidays there!
Good whiskey on Islay too...(but again far too lavish for myself, you see :p)
