i live in castle pines village in colorado, and I have heard good things about this range and the shop attached to it...worth the drive ni your opinion?
Actually, the Soviet 7.62x39mm isn't .30 caliber. It's actually 7.90mm & NOT interchangeable with 7.62x51 NATO, or .30-06 Springfield. (it's a common mistake)
Man, I remember back in the day when I turned 18 I went to dragon man & rented some fully automatic fun. Shot a M16A2, Mac-10, M60, & a German WW2 MG42. That MG42 scared the shit out of me, I only fired maybe 500 rounds then I backed off & moved to a less intimidating gun. Sucks though, I never even heard of bump firing till today & I used to go shooting all the time with my SKS up at rampart range. If Id of known you could fire like this Id have never sold my SKS.
dude i wanna shoot an mg42 so fucking bad. but i dont wanna just shoot it i wanna fucking mowe down trees. then just imagin being an american soldier in WW2 and haveing like 4 ppl shoot at you with that. INTENCE
Having carried one in OEF, the M14 on full auto is definetly more of a workout to fire full-auto than the M16 or AK47, but it's not terribly bad like some people say. With a few practiced techniques it's manageable in short bursts.
Sorry to the guy that just posted, I accidentally removed it. Please resend your message. I wanted to ask if you live in CO. (guessing you do given what you said) Dragonman's is the only place I know of that allows this much fun!
If you're referring to the M1A, this is precisely why the full-auto M14 has been replaced in the military. Most people can't control the 7.62 NATO at 750 RPM! MUCH better on semi.
can't wait! Going shooting here tomorow!

I said I have seen a video before that used an M1 Garand bump firing...not in this video.
newFaction64 4 years ago
newFaction64, I saw that video too. I saw it before I posted this, but after I shot it. This video was shot almost exactly a year ago.
RealEveryDay 4 years ago
greekbastard, I believe his point was that bump-firing the M1 Garand is a lot like bumping the M1A.
RealEveryDay 4 years ago
whoa that m1's a little kicker
lilrush151 4 years ago
The M1A is awesome hahah
newFaction64 4 years ago
Yeah, I had to quickly get used to the additional recoil compared to the AK. I was just surprised that I DID get it to work!

Yeah I have seen a video before of someone using an M1 Garand bump firing. So neat haha.
