could someone please help me? I'm new to guitar and I'm learning this riff. I'm playing the fretts perfectly but it sounds to bright. My guitar is in tune because I cheked with a tuner. My guitar is a fender 125s can someone help me?

@MrHjld If its an acoustic then the stings might need to get broke in, or just buy heavier strings. For learning, focus on fingering and strumming rather than sound 8)

@henryplatt Drop D tuning is actually used. I don't exactly know why, I think It's to get to a little lower sound so you can do more, but It is used not by system of a down alone, but it's also used by Linkin Park and one of Papa Roach's songs, Last resort

@onesnip its not drop c is, cos all soad songs are played it drop c i did it with my band at school, and if u wanna know about tunings drop d is the low e string drop to a d to add to notes which are low and to do power chords easier and you can play chop suey in normal tuning but the speed between the power chords is almost impossible, drop c is basically the whole guitar dropped down 2 steps to make all the strings a heavier sound and you can even go to drop Aflat which is crazy!!

@1nd1ctm3n7 because it gives it a different sound. Palm muting doesnt change the E to a D.  You have to tune it to a D
