Who cares if they were "fake". Milli Vanilli was a product and they were as important to the final product, or more than their "voices". Who cares if they were "fake". Milli Vanilli was a product and they were as important to the final product, or more than their "voices". I loved their music and I just wish that they had taken the fall from grace more lightly. I don't know why they didn't record these songs with their own voices the original singers didn't have gifted voices it was more the catchy hooks and lyrics more than anything and them. They would've been better than a lot of "real" pop artists of today who can barely sing

am looking 4 the cd and i will buy 2 of'em.f@$k what u heard, i listen to music not ppl.tell me u don't know about auto tune,sampling of other instruments,where is ur band?,effects on vocals etc.if u look at it, nobody is actually singing with their real voice, it is just vocal presence that they are putting in a song.if they had been encouraged 2 put their own vocal presence in this song a good engineer would've went to work and do his or her thang.that's my word!!!

It wasnt just that they lip synced their own tracks, they lipped synced to other people singing. The two front guys for the band didn't sing or write any of these song. They just danced and pretended to be singing them.
Thats what caused the big controversy.
