@luv1776 Good question. Yes it take "faith" My bible says that our "faith" is a gift from God, so we can't even take credit for that! When I look around at creation and see the design of it, I know that only "a God" could do that. In that context God is the only way existence can have ANY meaning at all. This is how we know it's true, because we must pray about it, and ask God if it is his word. If the new testament is his last will and testament then how do you reconcile his statement in John 10:16 "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold; them also must I bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd".
Jesus came to personally teach to the Hebrew people, if he had other folds to teach to there must of been other testaments of these teachings, the Book of Mormon is that testament of his teachings in North America.

At least we can find some cities named in the Bible. Written artifacts (Dead Sea Scrolls) have been found which confirm biblical language and teachings. Persons mentioned in the Bible have been confirmed to have actually existed, by secular historians.

because it has a complete story on what happened in the world. from creation up to the revelation. all the details in the bible are all facts. it really happened. the story of our lord jesus christ is completely detailed in the bible. the lord commandments and how we continue of life up to the end of times is in the bible. even in place, the people stated in the bible are true and really happened. even the scientist who dont believe in god, they started to believe because of the bible.

The teachings of the Bible, mirrored by the BoM (read copied), cannot be "proven" to be "true" except by living the principles. If the results are positive, it must be "true".
At least we can find some cities named in the Bible. Written artifacts (Dead Sea Scrolls) have been found which confirm biblical language and teachings. Persons mentioned in the Bible have been confirmed to have actually existed, by secular historians.
Comparatively, what has the Book of Mormon got to show?

Beck preaches against social justice, while Jesus taught us that we are to help the poor and oppressed and that the rich must sell their goods and give to the poor. @glennis3 Your judging the whole LDS religion by one person. We follow Christ's example just as other Christian churches. Thats why we are called the Church Of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. And as Christians we are all taught not to judge others (also another example of Christ), and that is what you are doing to other churches.

If you do, just as I, then that question is answered. And yes, the LDS church still regards the Pearl of Great Price as Holy Scripture, because we believe it is not an ancient funeral scroll. You can come up with things about every religion to prove its not correct, but thats not what counts...

if any of you would like to find out what the lds church believes, please go to the source. there are plenty of sources out there that have been altered by falsehoods and opinion. mormon.org is a great website to visit to find out our basic beliefs. find a local church to visit and talk to the members there. you can find more accurate information there and on the official church websites than from any other sources

We also believe that along with grace we must do all we can to live up to the standards that Jesus the Christ set forth to be worthy of exhaltation. Salvation is a free gift by the Atonement made by Jesus in Gethsemene.

Doesn't there have to be a reason why Temples are so important? And besides, all members of the church participate in Temples in many ways. If you want to know about that as well you can ask. And besides, almost all religions pay tith, the Bible states to do so. And I am a member of the LDS church.

Also, as you state the "facts" your not even sure yourself of what they are. I know i'm not, but if your going to pick a something to fight againts you should know what exactly the beliefe you are going againts believes. Have you read the Book of Mormon yourself and took Missionary Discussions?
