  • i dig this but tata vega's version is my shit.. 2 really diff tracks tho. one for the headphones and one for the club...

  • The perspective of a Shiina Ringo fan? This version is the best. "Koi wa Maboroshi" is far from Tokyo Jihen's best song.

  • @Hakuromatsu I like so much more Tokyo Jihen's version too!♥

  • The drummer on "Get It Up For Love" was Gary Mallaber. Mr. Mallaber played drums on all cuts of the album, "Hard Candy", except for one song, "Valentine". The drummer on that song was the great John Guerin.

  • master Jeff Porcaro is behind the drums.. this is a very tight, tasteful groove. BRAVO

  • @brutalchaoss WRONG !!! Jeff Porcaro was not on this LP.............grooverunner knows what he is talking about !!

  • I love all these comments. "Shiina Ringo's ver. is just noise! Nothing is different! She has nothing to Ned..ect..." yeah ok. I've listened to Shiina Ringo's stuff for a long time and she has been in the business for over 10 YEARS! Trust me, Ned's original will always be a classic but it to be covered by Ringo won't kill the groove in it. Really people, do some research on an artist before hating on them. btw Ringo's isn't just noise, she is pure god when it comes to composing music :)

  • @xXbenikoXx Shiina Ringo's version is wicked awesome. i only found out that it was a cover till i googled the lyrics.

  • @myndeanne Same here!

  • Still one of my all time favorite albums...

    and Ned's version the BEST!!

  • Ha, I checked out some of the covers of this GREAT song and the original is THE only good version of this song. The other's are unlistenable! Bleh!

  • The album, "Hard Candy" is my favorite, I'd grab it first in a fire. ALL songs are great, thanks to Steve Cropper for killer production duties and yes, an all-star band backs him up, members of Average Whlite Band, Eages, Linda Ronstadt, Toto, etc. He plays live occasionally in LA. thank you for this!

  • How in the earth is that chinese version is better then this one? They arent even the same style.

  • @RuiRomaoTVd Japanese. Not Chinese...

  • so stoked found a copy of this lp for 10$!!!! gonna play it tonnnssssss

  • how can anybody compare this to shiina something cover.

cant u feel the groove on this one.

shiinas cover is nothing but a noise.

  • Wow, Ringo's version is so much nicer. :P

  • KayakingCabbie: I think I agree. This is by far the best version IMO.

  • @KayakingCabble i think the Tokyo Jihen version is a cover of the cover done by Tata Vega. at least it sounds closer.

  • @KayakingCabble lol at the "Yacht Rock" thats a new one on me!

  • Supposed to have new music soon-of course, that was almost a year ago!

  • Another awesome version of this song was done by Tata Vega. Seek it out!

  • Written and originally performed by Average White Band. From...Scotland.

  • damn absolutely perfect tune!!

  • neeeeeeed this lp

  • shiina ringo's version in my opinion is better..but this one is nice too

  • perfecto!!!

  • Did he give the song to David Cassidy first?

    David released it in 1975.

  • See above:

  • heeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

  • Shiina Ringo did a cover of this song.

    It's so amazing.

  • @SasukeTanya

But this one is better. What a groove !

  • @bootzillahere Disagree actually!

  • Ned's the coolest!

You wouldn't believe the talent on this release.

    Hard Candy is the coolest.
