  • what "VENGA" means? :D

  • These french people need to shut the fuck up. I've never been to an American crag with 10 people all yelling "go go go go go " over and over. Pick a new word!

  • @seanclimb actually it means Come on.

  • god i cant watch climbing vids without getting all sweaty

  • if you ever go to a climbing gym in a french speaking country, this is exactly what youll hear. i find it a lot more distracting than motivating.

  • @leeks3 perso je préfere être encourangé quand je grimpe. Si personne dit rien j'ai l'impression que tout le monde s'en fout... ça motive pas trop !

  • allez means cmon, likle your gona say allez on va, cmon lets go

  • Niiiiice :) btw. these guys down there behave like seagulls :P

  • Allez=Come on/go

  • oh, hi mark

  • allez allez, shut the hell up. NEDM

  • 2:33 notice that he sticks this move two different ways. one time he bumps 3 times and puts his right foot on and another time he bumps 2 times and puts his left foot on. So this video is probably a compilation of two different tries.

  • What are they shouting?

  • allez allez allez allez allez allez

    it means go

  • Oh, Okay.

  • @campusmang If we want to get real into it it would really be "aller" since its unconjugated

  • @Wazoodles 'Allez' is the imperative plural of 'aller', which is what they're saying. Strictly speaking they should be using the singular Vas-y... If you're going to be pedantic, be it properly =)

  • @habenschlaben84 ah righ! It would be vas-y, by why would they be using the imperative plural had it be directed only to dave graham?

  • @Wazoodles Because French people and their language are peculiar... =)

  • Dave lists this on his ticklist as an 8c, and says it was his second try.

  • yup,

    dave graham

03/05/30 La baston á la m St Géry 2nd try

the climb is rated 8c+, he just thought it was a grade easier.

  • I think the most important part is that he said it was his second try though. Usobiaga has onsited 14c...Dave Graham has not, as much as I like him as a climber.

  • i like the video where dave gives his friend a huge omlet

  • respect!

  • onsite!!

  • thats amazing...he rocks...

btw whats the song on the end?

  • the background music was made using garage band

  • alright man you can now go sleep cuz it's the best thing you can actually do. stop posting non sense on youtube it won't make you worthy.

  • Do you think he spends his time in a studio? lol That's ridiculous

  • Clearly...cardboard...

    moron

  • Can I assume you were joking?

  • allez allez allez allez allez allez ,, allez up allez up allez allez allez allez allez allez allez

  • neanche chioni ce la farebbe

  • With a wicked sunburn too. Funny.

  • Pretty sure it was a flash not an onsight. Patxi Usobiaga is the only person that onsighted an 8c+. But chris sharma is coming close to being the second with his already 3 8c onsights.

  • whats the difference between onsighting andd flashing?

  • in an onsight, the climber has no beta beforehand, and has not seen anyone do it. In a flash, it's still 0 falls on the first try, but you have some sort of beta.

  • maan on sighting an 8c+ like that is beastly

  • dave graham is beastin it

  • Its Daves choice not to wear a helmet. But loads of people look up to him, hes a role model, it doesnt take much just to pop one on for the video.

People say they are 'aware of the risks', but I dont think they really know what brain damage is like untill they have had it.

  • some bad sunburn there...

  • Sorry, but I'd have to tell all the pro-hos at the base to STFU!

  • idc who you are 8c+ onsight is hella impressive. i wonder what dave weighs......

  • weight has nothing to do with it

  • it does. Look at boulder climbers and sport climbers. big difference.

  • I think that he's not onsighting it......he maybe tried that route some time ago....but it doesn't matter.......he's one of the most skilled climbers

  • no OS...PP....but he´s very good climber :))))

  • SHIKADING!!

  • I normally use middle and ring, but whenever i have to gaston a 2-finger pocket I use my middle and index fingers. for some reason it feels more confortable, probably because I don't have to torque my wrist to get into the pocket.

  • what climbing shoes he used??? i looking this...=)

  • the shoes are the V10, by 5.10

  • I meant some friends of mine that climb with me, not the pros.

  • cool beans

  • allez allez allez allez!!!!! if i had someone screaming that at me whilst i was trying to onsight a climb id fall off just so i could punch them.

  • you should see daves fingerboard workout vid here on youtube... his finger strength is just insane...same with Sharma

  • Freakin' sweet. He's the only other person besides me who I know uses the ring and middle fingers for pockets. Everybody else I know uses the middle and index fingers.

  • i dont know who you climb with but everyone should use ring and middle if youre using index and middle the load isn't distributed evenly on your hand and youre gonna torque your tendons.. i feel like thats one of the first things you should learn when climbing on anthing with pockets

  • @EG0SUMDEUS Are you crying or climbing? LOL

  • @EG0SUMDEUS haha my hands are so small i can usually fit 3 fingers inside the pockets :)

  • @EG0SUMDEUS dude that sounded like a sex joke lol

  • @EG0SUMDEUS Incorrect. It all depends on the direction your loading. If i am in a certain position, its good to use middle and ring, and in other positions its better for middle and index. Depends where ur placing hands!

  • You should look at tommy caldwell, dude is missing his left index finger.

  • Freakin' sweet. He's the only other person besides me who I know uses the ring and middle fingers for pockets. Everybody else I know uses the middle and index fingers.

  • Dave Graham es muuuy guapo

  • si de hecho..y muy buen escalador tb =)

  • escalador = rock climbing?

  • escalador=climber

  • did he flash 8c...

  • hey what means 1st try??

im sure is not the same of onsight

    or 1st ascent

  • beta flash

  • beta flash is outdated, all flashes require beta

  • bs. try a vue then.

  • An ascent is considered an onsight if climbed on the first try, without falls and without prior knowledge of the route. A flash is where there is some prior knowledge of the route.

  • Beta sandbag flash

  • in the start of the vid, it looks like some hard logoff.

  • He looks like a spider monkey climbing up that thing

  • bravo dave!! i'm proude of you as a guy who trying to be a climber.

  • another spiderman

  • anyone knows the name of the song? in the end...

  • That's steep ! It's amazing how far sport climbing has come in the last 10 years. In the early nineties that was absolute top, now it's flash. Anyone knows what's the music?

I'm building a social news site for climbers. 1% of revenue will go towards preserving the environment. Check it out & register: Google for 'peakr'

  • thats what makes him so good . so strong yet so light

  • damn he skinny

  • In french it's called "encoureagement"...
