  • Eh, I have a DX Storm Megazord instead of a DX Senpuujin.

  • THATS NOT A TENKUUJIN! Just joking.

  • just so you know, Eva, in the Gaoranger Vs. Hurricanger movie, Sempuujin's arms get damaged, and they swap in Gaoking's arms so Sempuujin can continue fighting.

  • @silvermoon551

Ahh. Still a bad combo in toy form. ;P

  • @EVAUnit4A yup. tiny arms, huge body. XD

  • i was wondering could u do a review for the other 2 or have ya all ready done that? cuase i really like the toy line for these but some minor things i dont like

  • @streakthehedgehog76

I am planning to review them in 2011, yes. I'm just not sure when exactly...

  • @EVAUnit4A cool ill be waiting to know what it will be like

  • I like Gourai-Senpuujin Sword and Shield in the movie but not in toy mode, just for the record.

Question, and this is something I just can't figure out. Why is the Senpuujin/Storm Megazord so dang big? The three previous Mecha (Victory Robo Onwards) and after it (not sure about the Abaranger, but I know Dekaranger Robo is much smaller) are around the same size but Hurrcanger's Mecha are HUGE compared, why?

  • @Godzillawolf1

Well, remember that in GoGo-V the Rescue Mecha had to be small in order to fit inside the already-huge GoLiners, and that kept the price down too so they could then incorporate die-cast metal.

TimeRobo was also small so it could fit on the huge auto-trans. Q-Rex.

And because of the detail, poseability, & metal in the Power Animals, they were kept small to keep the price down.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @Godzillawolf1

By contrast, the Shinobi Machines could be bigger & have generous amounts of metal because the Karakuri Ball weapons were small and had no metal.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Yeah, makes sense..sorta. I do like that they made all the mecha from Gaoranger to Dekaranger share arm joints, for me at least, I like to be able to mix and match various mecha.

Does the Daibouken have the same arm connectors as them? I know the Go-onger Mecha don't but that Shinken-Oh had the same as Dai-Voyager at least.

  • @Godzillawolf1

None of the Gougou Vehicles from Boukenger are compatible with any series before it.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @Atheunknown59

    We're all entitled to our own opinions... ^^;

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • why have a gaoranger fusion

  • @arcesthehedgehog

Why? Because of the crossover movie- "Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger VS GaoRanger". Gourai-Senpuujin Sword and Shield appears only in that movie.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Nice review. I love these fusions. But the Gaoranger fusions are stupid, if they were bigger, it'd look cool, but it isn't. The Dekaranger Robo/SPD Delta Squad Megazord also share the arm holes, which when you give the latter the Dolphan and Lion arms, actuelly looks pretty cool...unforunately, the former also gets tiny arms. My Ninja Storm Megazord's head is really loose. The pegs won't stay in. Do you know how to fix that problem? I've heard trying glue to tighten it, but I'm not sure.

  • @Godzillawolf1

Using model glue or clear fingernail polish (which are both varnishes) will increase the size of a peg or ball joint enough to add friction to it and make it stick better. Apply, let it dry, then attach it and see what happens. Add more as needed until it works out, letting dry fully each time, but often one application is enough.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Thanks, I didn't have model glue or clear fingernail polish (me and my mom are both terribly allergic). I resorted to a simple glue stick, which suprisingly worked, but I don't know how long it'll last. Still, better than nothing. Now I just need to get plastic paint to fix the paint wear that occured (it's in the worst condition of any of my Megazords). An suggestions for that?

  • @Godzillawolf1

Sorry, I don't know about touching-up/fixing toys. That gets more into modeling, which I am fairly ignorant to.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX That's fine, just some of the paint aps on my version chipped off easy and its gone completely.

Is the head needing the glue/polish treatment to stay in a common problem or was that just probably factory error with mine?

  • hi i'm peyton mcclendon i am 10 yrs old and i like this video

  • @cajunbrwneyes

    Why, thank you!

    =)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • oha du bist ja mal voll der spasst! =)

  • Have you tried Ninpuu-Shinken-oh? or did bandai switch joints?

  • Um, no- I haven't tried that yet. Wasn't planning to either.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I didn't mean a video. I was asking can the two mecha limb swap.

  • Uhh... no they can't. The Origami joints are too small.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • what movie did you say it was in 9:15 ?

  • "Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger VS GaoRanger" (2002)

The Jakanja (Hurricanger's baddies) disguise themselves as the GaoRanger and try to beat them at their own game. (The real GaoRanger were kidnapped beforehand.) Gao White escapes and convinces the Hurricanger not to fight, and pleads with the Power Animals not to support the false GaoRanger. They free the real GaoRanger, and there is a big battle. The 2 combos from that movie are shown in the vid above.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • It's not a fucking tengugin you shit

  • Actually, it's Tenkujin. you moron.

    :P

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Lol! You probably can't get the ripcord in there because it's a cheap childrens plaything. Created for tiny childrens hands, who don't complain if they can't get it in...

But I must admit that I have never been so entertained by a grown man talking about a plastic robot...

  • No, you can't get the ripcord in there because there's no room to move about, and nowhere to grab on solidly; *that's* why it's not all that great.

I'm glad I entertained you! That's exactly our mission on CDX. ^_^

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • STOP SAYING GAO GAO GAO!!! it's power ranger soap-opera, and you confuse me to think about Gao-Gaigar

  • No, it was "GaoRanger", so I can't help ya there!

    ;D

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • anyways, in europe it was promoted published and aired as Power rangers jungle-something... :/

  • "Hyakujuu Sentai GaoRanger" (2001) was Americanized as "Power Rangers Wild Force" (2002).

BTW, that was also the transition show/year for the franchise, from Saban/Fox to Disney.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I don't know what this is, but you're amazing. How you manage to talk about a childs toy so passionately and completely genuinely is something to admire. You are weird and a geek. But I like it.

  • "...You are weird and a geek...."

As a member of CDX, those are both points of pride, so Thank You! =D

And the reason I sound passionate and genuine because *I am* such!

    :P

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Sempujin plus power animal looks ok to me. Rather I hated mechas with all those messy combinations. I prefer mechas with the simple mode combination like gaoking, victory robo

  • LoL

GaoKing *IS* one of those messy-combo mecha!

But, I know what you mean- and a lot of people, including myself, feel that Super Sentai has become too gimmicky compared to past lines.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • The mechas from the newer series are getting more and more ridiculous....duh..all a huge mess of crap!

  • Yeah, the Shinobi Machines are the last of their kind, IMO. Afterwords, yes it all went to sh*t (although, to be fair, the mecha from "MagiRanger" weren't all bad).

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • beetle blasters

  • Shinobi Machines. ;D

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Wow. I have this Beetle one..... I never knew it was power rangers

  • nice sunglasses

  • um..excuse me,can you uh,review the gaogaigar figure?,cuz i really want to know how well the gaogaigar figure is,im asking nicely so,bye

  • Ooh- the Brave Saga is nowhere near my department. Sorry!

However, there are other writers on CDX who have covered that genre in more detail than I ever could!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • The ladies must be all over you lmao

  • Yeah, funny but frustration, especially on camera!

    -_-;

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Super Sentai Mecha

  • Yes- they did appear in 2003's "Power Rangers Ninja Storm", but these toys are specifically from 2002's "Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger".

PR takes the footage from the preceding year's Super Sentai Series and integrates it in a generic way without revealing their Japanese origins.

Importing the toys is also on the order of $20-30+ each, but the higher-quality product often makes it worth it.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Nerdy? Probably because I am one.

Hell- that's a point of pride for us on CDX!

    ^_^

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • hey you mist one formation dude

  • Which one? I was covering just the alternate combos here, not the supers like the Gourai- & Tenrai-Senpuujin.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Actually, yes, I am talking about "Evangelion", FTW. ^_^

Evangelion Unit-04/A was the name I took from a never-posted/failed fanfic I tried to write years ago.

For those who don't know, in the series you never see it, even though Unit Four is mentioned a handful of times.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Some douche is going through bout every vid of yours with buds and disapproveing comments,i forgot what i had said.

  • Ya know what? To each their own. ^_^

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • you should do a review on the gao gattai

  • I plan to someday of the ones I already covered on CDX- both the individual mecha, and the various combos- though I don't have all of them.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I got a ton of Hurricanger when it first came out, but to this day I still haven't got the Tenkuujin or the final two Karakuri weapon sets (Bee/Kabuto and Spider/Starfish). Though for some reason I did get Tri-Condor. XD

Great to see this series' mecha getting some youtube coverage, it remains one of my favourite Sentai toylines to date.

  • I got all the above mecha plus the Revolver Mammoth, and-

    Squid Attacker & Gatling Leo

    Furai-Maru

    Spin Bee & Kabuto Gani

    Catch Spider & Pitato Hitode

-all of which I plan to cover one day for CDX!

I don't want The Stamp, Tortoise Hammer/Goat Crusher, & Karakuri Mantle, and I already have the Tri-Condor/Ninja Firebird from the Dlx. Samurai Star Megazord.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Awesome! Been waiting for this one!

    Thanks!

  • [total sarcasm] OMfG thAT IZ NOt TENkuJIN. [/total sarcasm]

good review as always, Eva Unit 4A.
