I love how the first comments to this video (from over 4 years ago) are actually about the song itself and how great it is. All new comments are nothing more than whining and self-pitying bullshit from a bunch of angsty, middle-class teenagers.
I am a rather unattractive person and found it hard to sympathize with this at first. But then I realized either way can be a curse, too pretty or ugly causes you social problems. It's a shame that this is how it is.
You are never going to see a hot female president. Even if you mentally try to picture it, something seems wrong. That's how programmed we are and it's sickening. People are people no matter what they look like. Anyone can bring brilliance to the table because that is invisable.
Guys need to wake up. A womans beauty can be a distraction but it shouldn't discredit her in any way. It annoys the hell out of me when a short pretty girl is simply disregarded in a conversation because "she couldn't possibly know anything."

First time I've ever heard this song and of Emilie Autumn. And I already love it. I love the 'tongue in cheek' aspect of the song. I'm more into PJ Harvey's rage but this is actually very good, as well. I love how the sultry vocals mixed with the ethereal music gives it a defiant heft and a cheeky sense of humor. Two thumbs up for sure. I will definitely get the album.

This is one of my favourite Emilie songs and the song is so well written. She makes me stop and think "Should I really be as paranoid as I am now?" This may just be my opinion of what the song means, but to me it says no matter who you are: rich, poor, pretty, ugly, young, old, whatever. You're life is still gonna suck in some way or another. After all no ones life is perfect. The grass may be greenier on the other side, but it still has it's brown spots too. This is one of my favourite Emilie songs and the song is so well written. She makes me stop and think "Should I really be as paranoid as I am now?" I'm becoming more and more paranoid about what people are saying about me behind my back and this song is showing me that being pretty isn't everything. I am what I am and that's just me ^^ <3 EA

This may just be my opinion of what the song means, but to me it says no matter who you are: rich, poor, pretty, ugly, young, old, whatever. You're life is still gonna suck in some way or another. After all no ones life is perfect. The grass may be greenier on the other side, but it still has it's brown spots too. Then again, a lot of EA songs are satires and really should be taken too seriously to the point of mass chaos. :P Love the song!!!

@koehlercl now she is confident and independent,this song was writtent before she was locked up in a psychiatric ward for suicide watch because of her suicide attemp caused by her bipolar dissorder.After that her theory about the word changes,before she was thingking in a different way (enchant era) in the opheliac era which is more sarcastic,more honest and more brave she changes and now her new disc (FLAG=fight like a girl) is about taking ravenge and fighiting like you have nothing to loose
