I highly doubt this is real but the spooky thing is that theoretically you should be able to make a mini nuke using the components of a smoke alarm if you know what you're doing. You see, the way a smoke alarm works is that it has an alpha detector and an alpha source inside it. Alpha particles can't get through smoke so if smoke goes into the alarm it passes between the source and detector, setting of the alarm. So a smoke alarm does in fact contain a source of nuclear radiation. O.o
