Very little was known back then as to how to tackle transition. There was no way to get access to hormones and Harry Benjamin was out reach for most of us, even unknown. Gender Identity has nothing to do with sexual orientation and that's why I feel transgender need to drop LBG because being associated with a group that is sexual orientation just propagates the assumption that transgenders are related to sexual orientation.

Gender Identity has nothing to do with sexual orientation and that's why I feel transgender need to drop LBG because being associated with a group that is sexual orientation just propagates the assumption that transgenders are related to sexual orientation.
