@MyBirthday10 We did use one on our dog on the lowest setting. We used it twice and after that she stopped barking as soon as we showed her the collar so there was no need to actually use it anymore. It's like a spanking to a small child. Also, adults can put rubber bands around their own wrists and snap them when they do things they want to stop doing. In a way that is like putting a shock collar on yourself. You can buy clickers and spray bottles if shock collars seem to harsh.
