@GivingItAGo np, do you plan on making anything else? Like maybe doing a gardening one, where you make a whole series of raised beds and maybe a small greenhouse? or maybe a indoor garden like i did?
Don't need grass to have a chicken coop on it. The chickens will tear up all the grass anyways because they aren't going to be moved off. Anyone walking on grass over and over will kill it. Should just build the coop and put shavings down to compost with their rich droppings. The grass is wasted money and effort.
Hey guys, My wife and I own a home and have a decently sized yard. We've planted a garden, but the chicken coop idea is amazing. What will you do with them in the winter? I'm very interested and might go for this myself.
@jbrown2099 Chicken are pretty hardy animals as long as they are adults you don't need to do too much to keep them safe in the winter. As long as they have somewhere dry they can go they should be ok.
Heh - tape measure. I did that once. It was a small notebook tho.
30 quid for a watering can? That's highway robbery. Go to the shop and buy the biggest plastic container of coffee you can find. If you don't drink coffee, use the grounds for fertilizing roses. Poke holes in 1/4 of the lid - presto. Watering can.
Ha ha, I have now seen all your garden planing vids. I think it will keep the world busy. And now I´m curious how it´s going on. You have to continue till winter.
@hoffmann9471 We did a whole year. It was a great experience I would like to get a more permanent place one day and start making videos again. I also want to keep bees!
Lol leaving your wallet at home. I do that. Watering cans ARE expensive! I had a shock too when I went to buy one! How about a hose pipe instead? I lucked out my neighbour lets me use her can and we were given a hose by a relative.
I managed to find one a bit cheaper. About £10, still a bit pricy but it does the job well. It has one of those things on the end to spread the water out.
great, least u have a backyard, i have a tiny balcony that overlooks traffic lol oh well the joys of living close to the city lol...luv ur vids xjoey_sydney_girlx
Aren't you supposed to disturb the roots, or something like that, to encourage growth? Gotta do it w/ plants, figured ya might need to w/ the turf, too... REALLY enjoying your vids! :)
I never heard that. Perhaps you are. It was a couple of weeks ago when we actually filmed this and it took a while but the grass has taken root and is looking good. I am glad you are enjoying our vids.
In the UK we drive on the left. The reasons the Americans drive on the right is they copied the French. The reasons the French swapped from driving on the left to the right is the wanted to be different to the Brits.

Yeah you can't grow grass when you have chickens. That small area would last about two days with chickens. LOL

The reason the British drive on the left is the in the days of chivalry it was easier for right handed men protect their wifes from attackers.
acedrinker 4 years ago
Does that mean that I should get an American car as I am left handed? LOL
