@88McCloskey Slovenia. Tiny European country - not quite the Balkans...not quite central Europe either. I guess we're a bit more susceptible to foreign patriotism because of that hahah. Still, heard many other foreign patriotic stuff before...but other than a couple of ex-Yugoslavian ones, this one's the only one to have struck a chord with me. As I said...it must be its honesty. :)
@Loonie2008 couldn't agree more my friend. Im American but this song speaks to my Irish roots! great song. Slovenia is a very unique country! tough times in the recent past so im sure this song strikes a cord..just spent 6 months in Europe never made it to Slovenia..always wanted to though, heard the Julian Alps are a site to see
No way. There are more Irish-Americans in New York, than there are Irish in Dublin. That means that there are more Irish-Americans in New York, than there are people of all ethnicities in Boston.
Woodlawn in the Bronx is the most Irish neighborhood in the United States. Look it up.
I'm British, with Irish grandparents on my mother's side. Had a great, great uncle who emigrated to Philadelphia from Ireland sometime in the 1930s, then returned a few months later. The 'American Dream' obviously wasn't for him.
Too True - I'm praying they make another series. Best thing on TV after The Wire. After 6 years of carnage in Iraq, surely they have enough material for a few seasons!!

This song is so refreshingly honest and perservering that, in spite of its Irish ancestry, it seriously makes me feel patriotic for the U.S.A.
And I'm a foreigner!
