Acceleration NO. GT-R accelerates quicker. Top Speed YES. Veyron have 1000 hp engine. GT-R only have 530 hp. It's not a surprise. In case you are not aware, racing is NOT just about straight line speed. Handling, acceleration, and braking, etc is more important if you want to win a race on a race track.

The Veyron is a big overrated piece of shit. Seriously, for the price and performance, the GTR wins by a landslide. Keep in mind we're comparing a HUGH 16 cyl quad-turbo. vs GTR's 6cyl. engine here, so I hope on one wasn't expecting the GTR to take off flying lol. Also at the end when the Veyron caught up with the GTR, it was simply because it has a top speed of 250+mph vs GTR's 190+mph. And oh did you know the Veyron gets about 3 mpg at top speed LOL!!! As of now, the Veyron SS is the fastest production, street legal car ever made. Most other cars are just a stupid attempts to take the title for the sole purpose of that record at the expense of luxury and stability. Venom GT hasn't proven anything and neither has Shelby cars that just say what their cars will theoretically do. Theoretically and realistically are two separate things. Koenigsegg has a car in the works that "claims" 275 but for all we know it could only get to 230. It's all B.S.
ONE SSC Aero went fast in 2007. Nobody has seen it do anything since. Its highly likely that only THAT car under THOSE conditions with a full tech crew standing by, is able to pull off that speed. When TopGear drove it, they said it spun out wildly even in fourth gear with all that power and no technology. They also said it had all the buildquality and luxury of a chinese rickshaw. The new Venom GT is just a modified Lotus with a big engine. Fast, sure, but barely above Kit-car status.
@Janusha One SS went 267mph, does that mean anything? Wait, when did TopGear ever get their hands on an Ultimate Aero? I'd like to see this and hear those comments. The Aero ran it's record on a fucking closed section of highway while the Veyrong had a damn near limitless test track in comparison. They just tested the Aero 0-200 with the new 7 speed that will be in the Tutara running about 2 seconds quicker than the Agra R, which is already 5 seconds quicker than the Veyron SS.
How the fuck do you suggest Top Gear should ever get a hold of an SSC ? They only built 16 of them and sold 14. What you american idiots dont understand is that TopGear has 6 shows pr season but TopGear magazine comes out all year and they have driven SSC several times. As you can clearly see from their sales numbers- 14 SSC and 6 Hennessey Venom GT, there is really no market for it. Besides their enormous engines its mostly recycled parts and for this they are asking 700 000 dollars for a homebuilt Lamborghini replica kit and 2 million dollars for the 40 000 dollar Lotus with a Corvette engine. A Bugatti is on another level and looks like a bargain compared. Which is why they sold over 300 cars and another 200 is on the way, its been a huge success.

The Bugattis engine is pretty much double everything on the Nissan, double the turbochargers, cylinders, displacement etc... but you must agree the acceleration from that nissan is just insane even though it lacks the raw power to compete with most other cars in a straight line, they need to put 550hp+ in it to make it a beast

The thing is though, most of big car making companies could make a car with 1000 bhp. The real problem is to sell it and make money from it. VW is actually loosing money by making Veyrons but they can afford this because someone will buy a new golf and say "it's almost the same as Veyron, it's VW". Money is everything sadly...

The Veyron is a big overrated piece of shit. Seriously, for the price and performance, the GTR wins by a landslide. Keep in mind we're comparing a HUGH 16 cyl quad-turbo. vs GTR's 6cyl. engine here, so I hope on one wasn't expecting the GTR to take off flying lol. Also at the end when the Veyron caught up with the GTR, it was simply because it has a top speed of 250+mph vs GTR's 190+mph. And oh did you know the Veyron gets about 3 mpg at top speed LOL!!! We'll see how far that gets you haha!

If you had even the faintest idea of how air resistance and friction work you would realise that the faster you get, the more power it takes to make it each mph faster. A 60mph difference is absolutely enormous. Hence the enormous engine.
Also, are you blind? The Veyron was behind for all of about 30 metres, it hardly caught up "at the end".

As of now, the Veyron SS is the fastest production, street legal car ever made. Most other cars are just a stupid attempts to take the title for the sole purpose of that record at the expense of luxury and stability. Venom GT hasn't proven anything and neither has Shelby cars that just say what their cars will theoretically do. Theoretically and realistically are two separate things. Koenigsegg has a car in the works that "claims" 275 but for all we know it could only get to 230. It's all B.S.

ONE SSC Aero went fast in 2007. Nobody has seen it do anything since. Its highly likely that only THAT car under THOSE conditions with a full tech crew standing by, is able to pull off that speed. When TopGear drove it, they said it spun out wildly even in fourth gear with all that power and no technology. They also said it had all the buildquality and luxury of a chinese rickshaw. The new Venom GT is just a modified Lotus with a big engine. Fast, sure, but barely above Kit-car status.

As you can clearly see from their sales numbers- 14 SSC and 6 Hennessey Venom GT, there is really no market for it. Besides their enormous engines its mostly recycled parts and for this they are asking 700 000 dollars for a homebuilt Lamborghini replica kit and 2 million dollars for the 40 000 dollar Lotus with a Corvette engine. A Bugatti is on another level and looks like a bargain compared. Which is why they sold over 300 cars and another 200 is on the way, its been a huge success.
