Hora staccato (1906) is a virtuoso violin showpiece by Grigoraş Dinicu. It is a short, fast work in a Romanian dance style, and has become a favorite encore of violinists,...

... Dinicu wrote it for his graduation in 1906 from the Bucharest Conservatory, and performed it at the ceremony. Subsequently it has been arranged for other combinations of instruments, notably trumpet and piano.

I can remember the story the brothers told about how they began playing the guitar. They were raised by bandits in the jungle of Brazil. The bandits would rob anyone passing by. One day someone was walking through the jungle and the bandits attacked him. They cut off his head and the brothers picked up the mans guitar. That got them started.

Muçaperê e Erundi eram índios da tribo Tabajara. Em 1933, esses dois irmãos cearenses migraram a pé para o Rio de Janeiro. E, numa caminhada que durou três anos, a dupla entrou em contato com violeiros e cantadores das regiões pelas quais passaram. No Rio, onde a seguir fixaram residência, eles se registraram com os nomes de Antenor e Natalício. Mantiveram, porém, o nome de "Índios Tabajaras" para suas apresentações e gravações de discos.
