He has an obligation to be a father figure to her since she lost Mia and has nobody else to look up to. To me, it's very synonymous to the relationship that Wright has with Trucy. Maya being held hostage had told Phoenix to forget about saving her just so a killer could escape.

Pearly thought that she would never see Maya ever again.

Just the fact that they all ended up meeting each other again was one teary scene.

I say Capcom should pretend that awful game Apollo Justice never happened, and Phoenix Wright never lost his job and doesn't take place seven years in the future of the the third game and Phoenix never adopted Trucy and Ema is at the age of 18 at most and Maya is the same immature brat we all love and Pearly is still a kid who seriously needs to be told Phoenix and Maya don't love each other and all of that stuff.

And I like your idea. Say that happened IF he lost his badge. Or better yet, make it have been all a nightmare! My respect will return to Capcom if they go back to the early/late 2010's. It would explain where Maya and Pearly were, if it was a nightmare.

Frankly, I don't hate Apollo, either.

But firing Phoenix was a horrible idea. He was such a loved character...But by making Phoenix lose his badge in Apollo's game, I have kind of a grudge against it. But that game is a love or hate case. I'm one of those that are sitting on the fence about it.

As I don't have a DS, I've never actually played Apollo Justice. I have the first game in the series as an app on my iTouch (No, it's not emulated, it's actually in the app store XD), and the other two on Wiiware. Since I won't be getting a DS anytime soon, I just figured that I'd read up on the game and watch some gameplay videos of it, and when I found out that Phoenix loses his badge, I was really ticked.

And while I am really mad about how Phoenix was fired, I am also curious as to why Maya and Pearly didn't show up. It's a shame; it would've been funny to watch Phoenix talk to Pearly about how he doesn't love Maya, with Trucy teasingly joining Pearly's side(His[and my]reaction would be priceless!)
