This is one of my favorite songs of Happy's, as well as All-Time! I always think of 1994 when Tori Amos was touring and she'd play "God" on piano along with the background tracks. It was such a fast paced song and she had to keep up with the beat of the tracks and she would always comment before the song how much she LOVED doing it and say "this really gets me off!". I feel that same rush about this song... "Runners" is a song that when I listen to it, it really gets me off!!!
Yes, I remember this song. I heard it ONCE on 88.5, WXPN in Philadelphia 15 or 16 years ago. It made such an impression on me that I always remembered it. I could never find it until now. Thank you for posting this. I think it's a great song!
I think it is a clever song. She didn't become a commercial success, but who cares? I remember hearing this song back on WDET in Detroit when it came out. They actually played music during the day. Now it is just talk radio :( She is a very talented artist and I appreciate her creativity. I wish there was video for this song.
