@madmax3389 Hi, yes, it's just a MIDI controller - as for Ableton Live, I don't use it so not that familiar with it. Do remember though that as a MIDI controller it only sends not on/off values, and that is also dependant on the number of beams.
For a good beam you should use 500mw upwards, the stronger the beam the better reflection the controller can pick it up better... At the moment with my laser harp im using a 200mw green laser and that works great but the controller has to be closer to the laser for best pick up...
@SuperHypnoman I have fond my lasers to be adequately powered for my purposes. Regardless of that the sensor can have its sensitivity adjusted, and so that can compensate for the power of the laser.
