  • how much is it

  • @MsRoy523 Sorry...long gone...I just edited the title...I forgot all about this (the "for sale" part...)...this one went for about $1500 (USD) from memory...

  • @ScrewItPruitt Wow! That's probably the nicest thing anyone has said to me here on YouTube (at least regarding me playing bass)...thanks...that gives me a boost in confidence I can put to use for my next bass videos...so I should be able to just have fun with it...which is what it's all about anyways. I tend to jam a bit because of my guitar "mind" but at the same time try to remember that I am playing bass and need to keep it simple and hold sown the bottom. Thanks for commenting and watching!

  • on a bass like this how much you lookin to spend?

  • @andreking84 $1000.00 (USD) and up for a used one (the US made version)...depending on age, condition, and color (and options...such as the 2 pickups)...this one sold for about $1500.00.

  • @greengtrs o ok kool deal thanks for the info,im really thinking about geting one of these music man bass with with the hhpickups im digin the styles and tone of the bass if i can find one use for a 1000.bucks i would get it but not brand new,the one i look at new was 1925.00 online!

  • @greengtrs

It depends on age aswell. 80's or 90s musicman can go used for 2k€+

As I see the 1992-2007 series of MM's are now pretty sought for, as they used ceramic magnets, and are more punchier than the 2008-present models, which use alnico magnets now.

I have the 2007 Sting5 H/H, happened to be one of the last Stings with ceramic magnets. The difference is quite obvious between ceramic and alnico as my friend has an alnico sting and his is warmer but less punchy.

  • @popace Good info there! I'll keep that in mind in the future. Yes they vary...even from one to another off the production line...no two are exactly alike...NEVER buy one out of a box without trying it or at least hearing it (or totally trusting the person selling it to you to pick you a great one)...most of them are good, high quality instruments, but not all of them are great...I used to have the privilege of having 15 to 20 at my disposal...some have "IT" and some don't (from any year).

  • is this musicmanstingray 5 still available?

  • @naalangga Long gone...

  • Hey mate. Im from Australia and im wondering if you'd like to by my Musicman stingray 5 string. It has the single humbucker and a grey ash body. maple neck with the rose wood fingerboard. Im actually looking to trade it in for a Fender Jazz or Precision 5 string. let me know if you are interested. Its only about 7 months old, prestine condition. cheers

  • Random question, but on a guitar, is it OK to mix for say, two different pickup brands? Like a Lace Sensor in neck on a Tele and a Seymour Duncan in bridge (My idea)?

  • Sure...anything goes...sometimes one brand might wind up out of phase with another when both are combined but you can usually reverse the magnet on one of them to fix that.

    Thanks for watching!

  • @joeypaint I'd say the one major problem is mixing a passive and an active pickup: in your case a Lace Sensor, which are actives (I had a Jazz Bass with a set of them - wonderful tone) and Duncans, where most models are passive. IIRC the original guitarist from Faith No More had a Gibson Flying V where he mixed an Active EMG humbucker as well as one of the stock Passive Gibson Humbuckers in the same guitar. It was a killer wiring job with buffers to equalize the outputs, but workable.

  • hey man.. I'm interested in buying.. but I would like to hear it thru DI.. if it's possible? with no effects of course..

I'm from Serbia and there is no possibility of me getting to usa and playing on it.. Im a funk/jazz player.. and in a need of a real bass..

  • exactly what I want, I play a 6 string and been looking for a five string to try out but the best ones ive seen are too expensive :C

  • This one is up on eBay right now...follow the link in the more info section or just look me up on eBay...I'm greengtrs there as well...starting bid is $1399.99 including the case...

I read your page...you will probably like some of my Gibson, PRS, or ESP guitar demos (those brands tend to bring out my heavier playing). I definitely come from a Metal backround!

    Thanks for watching!

  • too dear.lol.

  • Try looking at Carvin. I just got one and for the price I paid, it was totally worth it.

  • i have the single p/u version

  • have u ever played a 6 string bass? my friend (whos an expert at electric guitar) did, and she said its really tough

  • I have played many really nice ($5-6-7K) 6 string basses. They can be cool...the necks can be huge/wide...extra low string and an extra high string (guitar territory)...I seem to remember playing a 7 string bass too (2 extra high strings). I worked at some amazing stores and we had all sorts of makers bringing in their gear for us to try (they wanted us to sell it). I got to try 10 string guitars (not doubled octaves like on a 12 string either)...

I like to keep it simple and traditional myself.

  • how much is this bass? or is it sold already?

  • I thought I replied...sorry if I didn't...$1500 OBO...

  • to much money:-)

  • $1,500 w/Case PayPal'd/Shipped via UPS (including insurance, tracking, and delivery confirmation) anywhere in the Continental U.S. That's a good deal!

  • yea that is..........i would buy if i had the money lol

  • there is a pink fender in the back

    haha

  • Ernie Balls are very very nice, I don't play bass though :)

  • how much for the hollowbody tele? or the pink strat?

  • that's a mini strat, right? I've seen them at guitar center for $99 flat.

  • what a beauty
