Nice video. I really enjoyed watching it. I am running a marketing campaign to start a large auto detailing chain corporation. I would really like your assistance in building this enterprise. Let me know what you think by checking out my channel. Thanks
good vid thanxs for putting it up i am a volunteer at a no kill animal shelter and right now i am trying to tell someone that there is a no kill animal shelter but they wont get it!! thanxs again keep up the good work!! :D
Sadly, even the SPCA has to put animals to sleep. They have limited capacity and those who are less adoptable euthanized. Owner responsibility, low cost spay/neuter programs, and an end to puppy mills are some of the answers to this problem.
Please subscribe to our videos as well as the news alerts on our website. We can then keep you abreast of developments. Surely, we will have a happy ending!
Very nice video and great effect with the newspaper and photos chosen. This is my favorite for Judy so far! She's done wonderful things and what's happening just is not fair.
Death by gas chambers is not the only way the animals are killed. Some use needles to the heart to inject the deadly dose. This is an efficient way to find a major blood supply and get the injection in without wasting time to find a vein and this is also the way the Nazis did some of their killing as well- Just FYI.
It is called an IP in the heart. Some do the Vein but some still do it in the Heart.
Thank you for sharing this information. I didn't know this. I don't think there's one day that goes by that I don't learn something new about the dog's world. I am curious as how you learned such detail about this method of euthanasia.
When there are large numbers of animals on a given day to inject draw blood to know you hit it and to inject the heart is the quickest way. A chemical heart attack in a way but they are suppose to be sedated. No matter, what a way to go. Born to be killed after birth. We are paying for the service with taxes!
There is much that people don't know about and the animals have no voice so how can anyone know the truth unless we have humans who will tell the truth.
You should look into Nathan Winograd and the No Kill Advocacy Center. They are actively and successfully working with cities and counties throughout the country, converting them to no-kill philosophy in a matter of months, saving lives and saving taxpayers' money. Their program is not a theory, it is a fact, that has been implemented successfully in many areas. It takes community support and outcry. Imagine, a no-kill nation.....
This is awsome! We must do something to help Judy and her friends. What is this world coming to when we can't help this organization who does so much for our community.
Please use this video as a tool to introduce our cause to corporations, small businesses and individuals who can donate to building a shelter. There aren't any No-Kill shelters in central Florida. All the county shelters, even the SPCA, are kill shelters. The only no-kill option for people are the small rescues like us and we are all severely limited in capacity, using our homes to keep the pets. It is unbelievable that an area the size of Central Florida doesn't have a no-kill shelter!
I strongly encourage anyone who is associated with a successful business to encourage them to consider donating to a shelter. What a great public relations opportunity this is! Who doesn't care about abandoned pets? And it seems that everyone in Central Florida has either adopted a pet from Judy or knows someone who has!
Another amazing video Gisele! There has to be a corporation out there who wants their donations to go to something that makes such a impact on the community. Surely someone in charge of a large corporation finds 20,000 animals slaughtered a year is an obscenity that has to be stopped. Thank God for Judy and her devoted volunteers!
How can it be that our society doesn't provide a way for our work to continue? C-2 zoning is usually surrounded by concrete and A-5 that has 5 acres of land around it and few neighbors well it's not on a public road. What's wrong with this picture??? Gisele you are a master with the video camera. Thanks for airing our plight and know there are rescues all over the country with the same problem. YOU can be the answer. Contact your commissioners, council, let's change the world for animals.
Every dog deserves their moment in the sun! Most of the animals that we work with have been abandoned, have lost the only home they have ever known, and are truly in shock. You can't imagine the joy we feel when we find them their new forever home, when we hear back from their families, sometimes years later, telling us their happy tails. These animals need our help, and we need yours.
jsprine from Saving Georgia Dogs commented: Wow, I love this video! It's so much fun I would watch it even if I didn't care about the serious issues it addresses--which I do.
Seminole County used to be no-kill but was converted several years ago. They try very hard to rehome their pets, posting them on petfinder, contacting breed rescues and others like us. Orange County has always been kill, last year killing over 20,000 pets! They do not post on petfinder, just their private website and they make it difficult for rescues to pull out the animals. Even the SPCA, though wonderful, is a kill shelter. Plus they take surrender-only pets.
I don't like those numbers. I've tried to rescue dogs from Orange County, while representing a rescue, the answer was no, followed by a polite, "get out". Yet the Osceola shelter welcomed us with open arms and a red carpet, thrilled that we were rescuing 2 of their dogs who had not been adopted after 5 months. We must find a way to build this shelter.
The only thing we have in abundance is RUMORS!!! No, we don't have a shelter. No, we don't have land. No, we haven't heard from ABC's Extreme Home Makeover. The one thing we do know is that we are running out of time! We have to have an alternative in place by mid-July or be shut down. There aren't any No-Kill shelters in all of Central Florida. We ~ Central Florida ~ need a shelter. We need Corporate Sponsors to help us move forward. 1500 pets saved a year. What options do they have?

60% of all shelter animals that are euthanized have no medical or behavior problems, nationwide.

I didn't know that Central Florida didn't have any city or county-run no-kill shelters. No wonder private rescue groups work so hard.
