Thanks so much for this. I was a big Starsky and Hutch fan and I still have the newspaper article saying Paul Michael and Elizabeth were going to marry. I was so happy for them when they got kids and then suddenly that terrible thing happened and Elizabeth and Ariel died. I cried for them. But I never knew Paul and Jake had a special gene that protected them. That's amazing. And Jake looks great. Exactly his dad in younger years.

Thank you very much for posting this interview,for some reason I never even knew he had been interviewed on tv. I'd always wondered how this young man of PMG's had fared with HIV-so very glad to learn of his being asymptomatic,what a blessing. His father(and Elizabeth)have so much to be proud of with what a lovely,caring young man Jake turned out to be!

Ohhhhhh wow thankyou sooooo much for posting this. I remember when Paul lost his little girl then his wife, as the years went by I often wondered what happen to Jake......now I know, he has turned into a wonderful young man who I think his mum would be very proud of.

My gosh what a wonderful man PMG is he and his wife were so courageous and selfless in helping educate people about HIV at a time when people were terrified of it and thought you could get it simply through breathing the same air.

What a wonderful and strong young man Jake seems to be!

I remember following the heartbreaking reports of Paul and his family through the years. Jake seems so grounded and together though he's had to work hard to be where he is emotionally. Thanks for the video. Certainly makes me want to count my blessings.

Doctors will tell you not to tell anyone if you have a positive result. When I went in for a HIV test in 1999, the doc warned me: if this comes back positive don't tell anyone not even your family. "No one will let their children around you." That was in 1999!! So there hs always been and will be stigma.

I've loved and admired Mr. Paul M. Glaser for many years and seeing Jake alive and well has made me very happy. Paul and Elizabeth to it upon themselves to do all they could and without their puch not much would have been done. Thank you Elizabeth, thank you Paul and God bless you Jake.

I know Jake Glaser. I have known him since I was 13. I am 20 now. He is an extraordinary person. I also am in the situation as him. I have the virus but it is not copying itself. I am so healthy. Thanks to Glaser Foundsation kids like Jake and me can live normal healthy lives. :)

I don't think he would look much like his dad except for his eyes and the area around his eyes...and when he grins. He definately looks like Paul when he grins.

Wow! I've know about this rare gene for awhile now and suspected that Paul inherited a copy from both his parents, givin him a total of 2 copies and then passed one copy onto Jake. Atleast, that's what I understand happened inorder for Paul to be immune to HIV, you have to have 2 copies of this gene, one from each parent.

Paul is indeed a rare and wonderful being and that is reflected in his son. Jake has turned out to be such a inspiration to us all.

I have to agree with the person who says Jake doesn't look all that much like his dad. To call him a "mini-Starsky" is highly inaccurate, but Jake was great about it.

Really? I think he looks alot like Paul. Not a carbon copy, but his nose, chin, mouth, Jaw Line and hair is definatly from Paul. He even has Paul's eye color, which is a very unusal dark Blue.

If you have the People issue, go back and look closely at the pic of them together and compair from the bridge of his nose down.

I think he even has Paul's hairline. Kinda' comes to a slight point in the middle of his forhead, just like Paul's. Eye shape and ears are definantly Elizabeths.
