@Sortsdam, yea they banned everything but nasheeds (Islamic vocals only songs), but since they fell music is now played on the radio, this song sounds like a typical Pashto pop song, auto tune is very popular amongst Pashtun singers, auto tune is even used on Pashto nasheeds too

You can hear the original version of this song in the game itself in "Running With Wolves" mission.

When you need to sneak intu a hut and kill a guard before marking the last truck, there is a radio on the table. It plays the ORIGINAL version.

@greatoldwolf I actually noticed that in the hut as well, but considering the minor differences in structure and that the one on the radio seems to be "sped up" a lot, I always thought that the version I uploaded is actually the original. I could be wrong, of course.

@Baboosi1 The version you uploaded is a remix, due to the fact that if you listen to the song played on the radio (inside the hut) carefully, you will hear traditional instruments, not heard in the car version. Moreover, I can't get rid of the feeling I have heard this song before, in some Bollywood musical maybe...

Now that you mention it, I did think the vocals sounded a lot more "Pashto" the way they were so high-pitched and computerized...I'll have to go give it a listen again. It did seem a lot more like an actual Afghan/Pashto/Dari/Persian/wha­tever song than this version does; actually sounded like something you'd hear on a radio in Menjawar instead of this remix.

Can anyone tell what language this is? It is not Arabic, that much I can tell, so I'd guess that it is Pashto?

@vonVince Dari or Pashto would be the only others I can think of that would be feasible.

Considering the general lack of "wordiness" in the song, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just "Afghani-esque" vocal improvisation Djawadi threw in for atmosphere... Doesn't sound like any of the occasional Pashto or Dari I've ever heard. I've still been unable to find the song in any source other than the limited CD for the anniversary collection, on a somewhat related note.

Before the 8-disc set was released, I thought it might have been actual pop music from Afghanistan/the surrounding area as well...but no luck despite a few days worth of looking through Pashto and Dari music videos. I think it's just an original work from Ramin Djawadi, but I'm not 100% certain. Believe me when I say I was looking for a long time, too!

I suppose you could always try asking Mr. Djawadi himself. I had considered it...sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Also, you may still be able to download the song if the uploads of the recent 8 disc Medal of Honor limited soundtrack are still around, Hindu Kush Remix is on disc 7, the MOH2010 disc, if I'm right. It also has some other unreleased Ramin Djawadi songs from the game, as well. Very cool.

@buliufas This is the only version, but it was released exclusively on the 8-disc set as a bonus item - the discs were separate, each dedicated to a different MoH game - disc 7 was for Medal of Honor 2010, and was basically just the original soundtrack which came out when the game launched, but also had unreleased bonus tracks which didn't make it into the original soundtrack. This was one of those bonus tracks.
