have you realisd that the guy getting hit all the time is going in slow motion, wihle that aussie does it in real-time? thats so cool right havig to learn to do things in lightning speed
'hands raised' dude you are the man, i need to learn how to fight like this, not that i get into many fights but i just want to have that set of skillz
A lot of things wrong with this. 1st, most people would attempt the kick with the stomp with the other leg. 2nd, he's likely to drop his knee in your face before or right at the time you do the groin shot. Also, forget trying to apply the ankle lock, get up and run if you get that far. I like some of your stuff though. But it's crucial to simplify, simplify, simplify. We're not trying to win a fight, but survive with minimal injury.
em1041.... Congrads on finding Judo. Myself I train in a mixture of Judo / Jujitsu...and trained in karate for 14 years. Never let someone convence you that Judo is not a self defense system for the streets.. Anyone who makes the claim knows nothing about real defense and or Judo... My only problem with Judo or Jujitsu is the lack of any multiple attack defense at least for the short period of time I have trained..
yea... no matter how much u practice it, i really don't think u should try the take the gun away from the guy move.. unless u KNOW he's gonna shoot u and not just rob you
Man, all the striking arts (tkd, karate, kung fu, etc) in a REAL fight they all look the same, so fuk fighting styles in streetfights. martial arts are just to train your fighting instinct and muscle memory. its just that there are different styles suited for different people, but in the moment of truth. they all look and work the same: they work fine if ur good, they´re useless if u suk.
TKD and Karate is useless on the street.... But were nor debating that right now.. I like these videos... One must understand though you would have to practice all his techniques.. Just the snaking out of the way takes repetitions of practice. Good job with the techniques, but please explain to people to practice because some of your moves would take a lot of practice to pull off although they are simple in reality..
the reasson why karate is useless is because most people like a huge percentive wen a gun is pulled on u .. u dont stop and be like hey like me use my karate skills u attuckly panic and u dont know wat to do this why hes tryin to teach u guys sumthing that relistic because my friend hes ben doin karate since he was 10 yr old and i street fight and i beat the shit out him he wasted thousand of dallor for nothing
it's all about hte fighter, i used to woop ass, and then i got my ass beat, so i took some kung fu, and it taught me how to really kick ass....I could probably beat the shit out of anyone on this planet in an open street fight, but just to be humble, i'll say i can take out all the nba players and nfl players with one punch.
holy shit, shut the fuck up right now you incompetent ass hole. you are going to praise yourself, in a fucking youtube comment? how about you post shit and show us
you took kung fu? obviously not, martial arts is more about becoming at peace, not to, as you so cleverly stated, "woop ass"
so shut the fuck up you sad little human. i dare you to say any of that to a girlscout, shed beat the shit out of you
I'd woop it, lal there is too it man, learned teh secrets,a nd now i'm using it for bad, but regardless, I'd woop it. And just so you know there are secrets, and you don't know them haha, monzao fucker.
when people say TKD or karate wont help you thats bs...i know somebody who had a gun pulled on him and he disarmed the guy using techniques from karate so how can you say it is useless?
i know what you mean. just because they took tkd and karate doesnt mean they were good at it. but if some one that took it and was good at it, then its very useful
Here's better ideas on fighting i've seen in youtube ; youtube(dot)com/watch?v=7BkBpi -16es&feature=related , i think you need to delete the space between BkBpi and -16es to make it work
I used to think traditional arts were the best, then i conformed to MMA, krav maga and CQC, all good, depends what you need to use (techniques and tactics) in different situations. It's all about what for when and where.
I train MMA, krav maga and CQC, they are all good and can all be used for self defence, the difference is in usage of certain techniques compared to the situation you are in, for example, if you do MMA and are fighting in a bar, the last place you want to be is on the ground, that's why you use strikes, or a rear naked choke and use the guy as a human shield, it's all about using WHAT FOR WHEN, you don't use the human shield tactic in training or sport, but you do in a WHAT FOR WHEN situation.
Sure you could do that, if your greased lightning...There's no way you would have that good of a reflex! The best option would be to walk forward or pull your leg back.
Its not about what karate can or can't do for you. Its depends on how skilled the defender is. A karate man with great insticnts and reflexes will do great. A karate man with lousy instincts and reflexes will loose.
"Someone is towering above you and is about to stomp you in the skull". HAHHAAHHHAAHHAH. Yeah this guy's awesome, and i love his approach to self defence.
cqc is the most simple way to releive the sistuation using least amount of energy but brute strength karate will help if your opponent knows karate and any kind of fighting. fighting skill syusaully only work on the same style of fighting so learn em all
Thats a rather ill informed statment. Krav maga is in no way about brute strength. Krav has practioners of all size's and everything in between. Krav maga is all about using the most direct and simple solution to the problem at hand. The top instructers in krav maga are far from strong musclar brutes i assure you. Please take the time to research something before you make such a sweeping statment.
Was taking Karate for about a year and got in a fight and it was useless, did CQC with home lessons and my friend as a partner for 2 months and defended myself from 3 other people, 1 with a knife.

It's not tought this way in the actual system, this is just a very quick demonstration of how you could put together what's tought in the system.

very useful, however, can you make more to floor opponents, as in over the knee push or over hip?
ive found it is very useful for creating space for yourself or temporarily making less opponents to fight against.
this , im sure would be VERY useful, keep it up ! :)
