  • Cliff wrote this song about an experience he had while in Dublin, a place he visited often and where he was much-loved. It has a certain pathos about it and as a Dubliner I particularly appreciate it. I remember when the Both of Us LP came out I hadn't heard anything from Cliff for many years and so I rushed out to buy it and was not dissappointed. "Before the world was round", "Where do Angels really come from" and "Both of Us" played endlessly in my kitchen and do to this day. Love you Cliff

  • thanks for the info-it is very interesting to get some insight into the origin of songs @obriensheila

  • What can I say about this man, I love CTW. A pure genuis . Started playing his music 35 years ago, when I found his albums in my older brothers room. I am, a Jolson, Bowie, Numan, Sinatra and Rock Music fan. I love music. However, Mr Ward is something very very special. They dont make them like this anymore. Buy one of his albums like Homethoughts from abroad. Pour a glass of wine, sit back and be amazed. JIM
