@wannapork : Line size depends on what your are doing. If I am dropshotting or fishing a shakey head Iuse 6# Vicious Pro Elite Flurocarbon. JIg&Worms 15# Vicious Flurocabon, Crankbaits, 8#,10#,12#,15# vicous flurocarbon.
There are tons of choices and lots of variables. I live in Michigan and the lines I have listed are my choices here. But depending on where you live in the country your options can change due to water color and the amount of heavy cover and type of structure you fish around.
That's good I'd love to try your baits but your website is sold out. So that really sucks cause tax money is what I use each year so I guess I'll just shop somewhere else this year
@FreshPS3Gaming first of all, you'd fuck up the spine before the jaw, which is why he had a hand under their back/belly most of the time he was holding them. second, their jaw is plenty strong enough to support their body weight. nice try though.
@FreshPS3Gaming ...as a kid who sits around playing PS3 all day, i'd say you might be a bit out of your element here. you do realize that when the guys in california caught dotty (world record-breaking largemouth bass at over 24lbs, but was foul hooked so it couldn't be counted), they held it up by the jaw. it swam away and the same guys saw it alive plenty more times. if a nearly 25lb fish's jaw didn't break, a 10lber's sure wouldn't. search "25lb largemouth bass" for the video
Hay I just wanted to say butch your the man and I fish all these California lakes my whole life even the one he's at but what butch does is simply amazing it's not just trow a big swim bait and catch a double digit theres alot more to it.
@k9feces no you wouldnt. trust me. it looks easier then it is. butch has it figured out and im sure he still goes trips without a bite. CA bass are the most pressured bass in the world. these fish are this big cus they're smart.... and eat trout!! haha
@jigpitcher7 Stocked trout..farm raised trout are dumb and extremely nutritiousness...CA doesn't have a single body of water with the Southern strain bass that doesn't have stocked amped up bait fish in it...thats the only reservation people have about recording records from these lakes...FL,GA, LA, and AL have fish like this but THEY ARE NATURAL...and thus less occurring catches of 12 + lbs Largemouth. Same point with grass fed and hormone induced beef cattle for example. Not the same.
@usnate1 hey come on down to cali and fish for ten years straight and then talk to me when you still havent caught a 65 lb limit! rhe only other state ive fished is texas and those fish are practicaly retarted. even legend al lindner says ca bass are the most pressured fish in the world
@jigpitcher7 Thats b/c of the number of people living in CA....OBVIOUSLY they are going to be pressured more....but thats also part of the reason they stock forage fish and trout in the first place....secondly the delta prob couldn't support trout b/c of the humidity....I'm talking about the lakes that support stocked trout mostly.... you have to admit that CA has gone a little overboard on the predetermining of fish growth...I've fish Castaic ...its good but so are areas in the Southeast.
@usnate1 oh and the trout are put in there for trout fisherman not for a bait fish. although it turned out to be an excelent one! sorry you"re lakes are too warm and shallow to have trout. your loss
@jigpitcher7 Secondly we do fine NATURALLY...we don't fish in aquariums with foreign genetically altered fish species...thats what i meant....I'm only arguing that a record largemouth from a stocked super trout lake shouldn't be counted...that was the initial argument for which you have not rebutted
@jigpitcher7 And you are still deflecting the true question....no basis for an argument...CALIFORNIA is a good state to go fishing for largemouth...not arguing that...the question is what about recording record fish from a lake with genetically predesigned bait fish....or you can keep proving yourself to be a moron...which is amusing btw..
@usnate1 well here's my argument. although one should of never started. you brought this out of no where. should a lake that has rainbow trout in it be able to count a record largemouth? well i think you would have to be dumb to say no.#1 the fish is a largemouth. #2 the rainbow trout has been in our lakes and has been a baitfish since the reservoirs were created. its just been discovered in the last ten to fifteen years that it is a baitfish and thats why now people are catching these giants.
@usnate1 oh and we have clearlake and the ca delta arguably two of the best fisheries in the world with florida strain that do not have planted or amped up baitfish in them. get your facts strait before talkin.
@jigpitcher7 Right quantity isn't what I'm talking about here....the number of fat fish....naturally that many big fish don't exist unless we interfere...FL vegetation (along with huge forage fish and bluegill, crawfish, frogs, etc) to produce them naturally, FL is the true barometer by which you can judge NATURAL big fish both in quantity and quality..CA doesn't have the humidity to grow the crazy aquatic vegetation( for vitamins and minerals that big fish always have when they blood test them)
@usnate1 Ambient humidity, or air humidity, has no role in the production or abundance of aquatic macrophytes. To a submerged plant the humidity is constantly 100%. What does play a role is CO2, the level of available nutrients (N, P, K, etc.), and the proper substrate. Most of the canyon reservoirs here are oligotrohpic, meaning they have low nutrient levels resulting in low microphyte and macrophyte growth.
@puresugarfishing I like eating bass. If that makes me an idiot i know many people, including the founder of B.A.S.S., who are idiots too. If you tried one you might like em.
i live in florida the biggest bass ive ever caught was 6-1/2 lbs on a spray painted black crankbait from basspro. my frend on that same pond caught a 12-1/2 lb bass on a pumpkin seed 7 inch worm in 6 feet of water. All the big bass in there are wiped out now biggest bass i've caught since that was 5lbs. I'm gonna check check out huddbaits and go to a pond where my little brother caught a 9-1/2 lb bass on a white super fluke by zoom. keep catching big fish please subscribe. thanks, Chris
@pannett1 He's probably mounted one already. :) Probably bigger than those too. And not to mention, if he hasn't broke the record than I doubt he will mount any other.
The only bigger rush than catching them...is letting them go! Seeing that tail fin flip as it swims away is the biggest thrill a fisherman can experience.
your the friggin man !!!!! i love that you fish all your stuff from an aluminum too. It really makes them people who buy all these $40,000 + boats feel like sh@t when they see an aluminum boat owner get a 65 pound limit. The fish dont care what kinda boat you got. Very nice ! Keep it coming butch!!
great video....must have been an exciting day! i just caught my personal best of 16.0 pounds here in florida a few weeks ago. i was pumped! i couldn't image 5 that size in a day!!
