@Flstudz pissed? Okay, 1 dumbass, i'm sorry but it shouldn't matter where you are from, where anybody els is from, WHY does is matter where your favorite dubstep producers are from? I'm American with a full side of english family, & I love ALL producers, no matter color, race, religion, or region. How can you be so ignorant? I'm an american 15 year old kid who has more repsect to the genre then you ever will. your a disgrace. There shouldn't be any hate in this genre, sorry bro.
@ImADogM8 ey bro he was looking for producers from the United Kingdom not USA like DR P i think hes from UK? Maybe im not the expert i just fucking love dubstep
@KelvinsVids ah awesome man! he was a really humble down to Earth kinda guy. Good to see that he is doing so well and im sure hes stoked to have you as a fan. Thanks mate.
@TpudsPlanB Yeah but people are inclined to hate because we live in a dog eat dog world. Soon as someone is doing well, there will be those who make it their mission to drag them back down a level. Haters don't hate you, they hate themselves, because you're a reflection of what they wish to be. Seems that everyone is prepared to throw stones hiding behind an alias hoping to get the next 100 likes in a bid to feel connected or important but it all winds up getting a bit tired really.
"dubstep started as reggae and it has totally evolved" .....No motherfucker, it hasn't, plenty of people still make original style dubstep which is the TRUE dubstep. The stupid wobbly filth bullshit that all the hipster kids are listening to and calling 'dubstep' now is nothing similar to real and original dubstep.
@Cornbreadddd You're a little hostile there, bud. I don't understand why all the people that listen to dubstep are so opinionated about what is and isn't dubstep and whether it evolved or not. Everybody just assumes that what they think about dubstep is the truth. Well, it isn't. DatsiK has his theory about it evolving from reggae and 2 step a long time ago, others think it just began in late 90's. Point is just that you don't know for sure where "dubstep" came from so stop acting like you do.
@LayceHD Yes, Dubstep came from 2-step and garage. In around 1999, mayyybe 1998. Horsepower Productions, Hatcha, Skream, and Digital Mystikz were the first producers to start playing this style of music. They themselves have many times spoken about its incarnation and the history of dubstep. Which is obviously something that all the datsik and skrillex loving fans know NOTHING about. Plus, the old school style dubstep is sooo beautiful, and so musical, so much talent. Not this wobble filth shit
@Cornbreadddd One could seriously argue theres more production talent (vague as hell) in more modern dubstep then the original stuff. Whether or not you like it is your opinion but you cant say production quality on a technical level has gone down. Im not at all trying to defend the in your face distorted wobbles that seems to be taking over a lot of dubstep but at the same time a lot of people who hate on Skrillex/datsik do so because of his fan base and nothing else.
@Sinskb Oh for sure, the production value is definitley much much higher. But in my mind that isn't necessarily a good thing. The lower production quality of the oldies adds so much too it. Now-a-days, whether its old school style dubstep (which plenty of producers are still making) or new wobble stuff, it all has fairly good production quality. I do agree on a technical level production has seen major developments, but from a standpoint of musical development, not so much.
@Volumyn there was about 13 minutes of content all up but the way it was cut for TV market, music channel interest. I would love to have acquired the full content to post here as the way this was edited was out of my control and left pretty superficial in comparison to how the interview actually went down.
But the pioneers are ofc skream, benga, artwork, kode9, horsepower, digital mystikz, loefah and of course the man who gave them all a chance, DJ HATCHA and some others. No disrespect to Datsik. im a big fan.
