I think one of the reasons why Apple will not be good in this because you don't see a lot of them in LAN or person to person games. We've had the World Cyber Games where people compete on LAN and PC. So where is Apple in all of that? It is going to be a very very very long road for Apple when it comes to games.

i like building my own comp too, it saved me a ton of money, and your right apple just isnt intended for gaming, but a pc is very customizable as you see in the new pc commercials. So pc is good for basically any type of person, But a Apple computer is BETTER for people who like to edit,record, produce music, images, movies etc...

Hey um.... heres the issue. Most companies don't create games for the mac not bc they can't handle them but bc they have a much larger audeince in pc users as well . Programing a game for a pc is much easier and much more well known than the mac programing language(java). I'm not positive if this has changed if it has I'm out of date.

The way a P.C is built is multiple companies creating many different parts for one comp.  One thing upgrades and then everything else lags behind. Where you will have to buy a new pc every 2 years bc it feels so slow. My mac will maybe have to upgrade the ram in the next 5 yrs but that will be it oh and also it will still run the latest program or O.S that comes out. Oh by the way that new pc you bought yesterday won't run the next windows that comes out.

I've had the same PC for 6 years and it still runs great, I picked out each part and put it together myself, the only thing i needed to 'upgrade' was my ram. I put another 2GB Ram slot in it about a 2 and a half years ago. so no, your wrong

linux for the win. Just load up cedega on ubuntu or fedora core, and play all yer windows games, counter-strike, UT, etc... then close it down and use open office N crap for word N XL emulation. Plus it never crashes, or at least i've never gotten one of my linux boxes to crash. Nuff said... Windows, well there is a reason they call it Winblows.
