well i'm a singer and a recording artist and i can tell you that sometimes when i'm singing live i sound awful, but when i get into the studio, i can do a much better job when i'm really concentrating. maybe that's the case for her? personally i think they're both real, we all have off days, and besides my friend is a good friend of katie's family and has heard her sing plenty and i hear she's rather good :)
