Dead birds can be cooked for poor and homeless people. High protein, low cholesterol. College researchers can use them for experiments. Stop wasting resources. Hire bird catchers.
To everyone trying to advocate for the bird's rights: Would you rather have dead birds or 200 dead passengers? This is normal practice at airports when there are too many birds flying around.
I understand its cruel, but if they scare the birds away they will only come back. Which would you rather? a few dead birds or a passenger plane going down in a busy neighborhood because it ingested a flock of birds in the engines? And yes, if enough birds get ingested into a planes engine the result can be catostrophic!

Then one morning when I was having coffee watching the birds (there are amazing birds by the airport!),129 came by, jumped out of his truck and right in front of me shot down two gulls and a duck. I was shocked and very upset - it seemed really random. I called the airport staff and they assured me 129 only kills in the case of human life in danger. I think I was the only human who felt in danger - but they are the experts!
Hi! Yes, there is an awesome public beach with great views of the airport and the city. It is Constitution Beach in East Boston. Is is free, easily accessible from the T and even has a snack shop!
@jenf777 wow jenn are you able to look out of your house and see all of this?with all your great aircraft videos?or do you have to drive down the street or something?do you actually know this guy 129 as you refer to him by?

They do that to scare the birds away. Sometimes they use small bottle rockets.
