Cops are more often trying to mediate, and don't always want to arrest people, especially when no social norms have been broken. sadly, it is a matter of social norms. @CalamityM The problem is the laws in some states specifically exempt rodeo from animal cruelty laws. Which means animal cruelty is approved of and legal inside rodeo arenas in those states. Most people don't know that, and that's what we're working to change through awareness.
First off almost every one in the shoots at a rodeo has some sort of taser to get bulls out of the shoots because if they stay in and start bucking they could hurt themselves as well as everyone there

I've worked around animals a couple of times working for vets, and I've been around animals all my life (including two rescued birds I have right now) and I can tell you they;re much smarter than people think, and deserve more respect than most give!

Arrest is not always the answer, and just because they were not arrested does not mean the cops are corrupt or taking sides. You are there protesting, and as such provocation should be anticipated. The police may actually agree with your cause- but yet they have to impartially do their jobs.
