  • So a competing game company couldn't just go buy a Wii and tear it apart themselves? And all their `trade secrets` which no one here has ever heard of will be revealed? Makes sense.

  • this helped....now i can replace my disc drive :)

  • Why are you people considering that opening the system is hacking? It's like saying that opening a bottle of soda is hacking.

  • Hacking also means: Doing stuff with something that it wasnt made for.

  • my disk is stuck in the disk drive and i cand get it out what do i do? =(

  • buy a ps3 . ;)

  • already got one, and a 360, but my wii is alright now

  • Are you people retarded? they are paid to take it apart to understand of it works.

  • What a waste of 250 bucks.

  • why would you do that to a wii its 250 for it there is no point you fag get a life

  • poor wii

  • i agree but u can always put it back together

  • yeah put a few extra cylanders(processor chips) in it, give it a few rims(system upgrades), and a new mufler (cooling fan) while you're at it. XD Seriously, you're going to be sued dude. Especially if it WORKS when you're finished putting it back in one piece. Still a waist of money...

They have kits where you can replace the outer casing and the lense, but that's all you can do without screwing your warrenty. ^_^

  • hmm, so does that mean, if i just wanna take my wii apart just to CLEAN the lens...i'd be fine?

cuz thats what i wanna do, my brawl aint working

  • Yeah I guess so, but it'd be a good idea to spring for the kit. I think it's like twenty five or thirty dollars. But for that you replace the whole lense reader AND it tells you how to do it without tottlally screwing your wii in the process. Of course it's probably smarter to take it to a game consol repiar place, but then you'd have to pay labor too. XD Just google Wii Lense Repair Kits and you should get a few ideas. But first, are there any you know scratches on the disk itself?

  • nope, the disc is fine, completely clean since i havent used it much.

i'm british so, might be a lil harder for me to get one of those repair kits

i DID request for nintendo to clean it, but that was like a month ago and they havent replied

  • Hmm if you've got internet you could google it. I'm pretty sure Target, Buest Buy, and Gamestop are good places to look. If not in their stores, check the online stores. I know Best Buy sells em cause they had an item hook for it.

  • but we dont have Best Buy or Gamestop here D8

besides my parents are internet paranoid -_-

  • My God, almost all people are saying they had trouble playing the Wii games and mostly trying to play the game of SSBB that it won't work. I can't believe I'm one of those victims. :(

  • *Cough*

Sued for taking apart something that I bought?

    HAHAHAHA.

If I buy a laptop and open it to put more ram on it. Am I a criminal?

  • Don't laugh, if you show their design and construction of the wii to the world they actually really COULD sue you for two reasons.

1:You're showing the world their leagilly owned "trade secrets" WITHOUT their permission.

2; You're violating your warenty and completely screwing AND wasing a perfectly good WII XD

As for the laptop, depends on how you do it, and modifiying stuff to certain extent is sorta illegal, though I doubt they'd take action unless it was for illegal reason or they wanted.

  • ...

    Modifiying stuff is illegal?

    MY GOD.

You are a kid? If so try reading a little more, if not then, ugh just, ugh.

Cars, computers, everything, once you but it, it's yours to do whatever you want with them, unless you sign a contract, wich they don't do for the wii, idiot.

    And world secrets?

YOU CAN BUY IT IN A STORE.

    It's not a secret anymore.

It's even legal to run back ups on the wii.

And the wii is the suckies console ever, mine only use is to be mooded and to emulate SNES games.

  • have u ever heard of "wen u buy it, u can do wutever the FUCK u want with it"

  • @MrSonicblast have you ever heard of the phrase "once you buy it, you can do whatever the FUCK you want with it" ???

  • @happytaco not illegal you'd just loose all warranty

  • you gotta tell ppl wat you are doing!

  • suprisingly that fan actually keeps the tempriture mild when it's on, it's when your not using the damn thing and it's on standby for the Wifi that it overheats because the dman fan isn't on.

really sad when it over heats when it's freak'n off.

  • yep he is

  • lol climate 123 is an idiot

  • That fan couldn't keep an ant cool on a hot summer day

  • there's only 2 reasons for doing this

    1: lithium power source

    2: Wi-Fi card

  • or modchip.

  • ofcourse, dis-assembling the nintedo wii is hacking.

  • And why are you calling them hackers!? they arent sending a visus to the wii little kids of hacking with a saw their just ripping apart piece be piece!! (=[)

  • Hey. Don't like it, don't buy it. Or watch it.

  • ah... human curiosity has no limits... not even the wii is safe...

  • haha, you can't even cuss right? what are you? 9?

  • total hackers lol

  • what the hell is with chainletters ? would you people just shut your fucking holes?

  • ya, Ive had this alot of times and well, I havent died yet!

  • Damn, these guys are HACKS(too rough and uncoordinated)

  • Even if they re-assemble it, they voided the warranty!

  • Dude!...that is cruel!

i'm watching this on my wii for christ sake!!

  • tu sei scemo a smontare il wii... piuttosto giocaci... testa di cazzo!!! you are crazy to disassemble the wii...

  • They'll rebuild it together... I'm sure.. they're like super pros in these things... and look how they're doing it with care

  • they are crazy that is a nintendo wii they could give it to me

  • what do you mean, whats the point? and how is it a waste of money.. they can put it back together, and this had to start somewhere, because if they didnt do it, then i would have..

  • Nice videos!

  • what a waste of a wii, i could have had that

  • About 70% of the unit's size is dedicated to the disc drive itself!

  • The fan is one of those tiny cheapos, did anyone notice it?

  • Yeah, but it's small enough to fit in the Wii without causing a lot of bulk.

    And it's Nintendo.

Also, it does a pretty good job considering my Wii never gets too hot.

  • Chisaineee

  • that's why they taped it... so that they can put it back!

  • i know right...wasting time and if they dont know how to put it back together wasting money...

  • I'm pretty sure Nikkei knows exactly what they are doing and obviously they want to know whats inside.

  • and what is the point of this?

  • A Japanese economic company disintegrates for a study

  • You must compare Nintendo's FAn with Sony PS 3 Fan

  • The PS3 fan is bigger than the

    Wii

  • cool #2
